21 GIU 2024 · Ontario head football coach, Aaron Eckert, talks with WMAN's Aaron Hines about Bodpegn Miller committing to Ohio State to play college football. High School Football news:  Bodpegn Miller of Ontario High School has committed to play college football for Ohio State.  Miller received an offer on Tuesday from Buckeyes wide receiver coach, Brian Hartline, after Miller impressed him during some recent workouts.  Bodpegn wasted no time, as on Friday he announced he is 100% committed to play for the team he grew up rooting for in Columbus. Bodpegn Miller has recently been learning the WR position for the last few months, after he has starred at QB for the Warriors. He helped Ontario to a league championship last fall.

7 GIU 2024 · IMSA driver, Robert Wickens, phoned into WMAN on Friday to talk about the first racing weekend of the season at the Mid- Ohio Sports Car Course.  June 7th - 9th is the O'Reilly Auto Parts 4 hours of Mid-Ohio.  Wickens, who won the championship last year and is currently 4th in the standings, shares about the new track surface at Mid-Ohio, his story of being injured in 2018 and now back racing, and much more.

7 GIU 2024 · Jeff Angelini,who helps organize of Miss Ohio Week, dropped by the WMAN studio to talk about the parade this year ( Sunday, June 9th at 2 pm) and about all of the Miss Ohio week events in Mansfield.  There will be 27 contestants this year, which is the most since prior to the pandemic.

6 GIU 2024 · The Hillsdale Falcons (19-11) baseball team is playing on Saturday, June 8th ( 4 pm) in the Division IV State Semi-Finals vs Fort Recovery (15-12) in Akron. Jason Snow, Hillsdale coach, joined WMAN's Aaron Hines to talk about their season and run to the state tournament.  The Falcons finished state runner-up, under Snow, in 2019.

4 GIU 2024 · Mansfield City Council is scheduled to vote tonight, Tuesday June 4th ( 7 pm) on a moratorium on Cannabis dispensaries. Jodie Perry, Mansfield mayor, recently spoke about that topic and much more happening in town - during her monthly visit - with WMAN's Aaron Hines on "Local Talk".

10 MAG 2024 · Mansfield Police, Jason Bammann, appeared on WMAN's Local Talk program on Friday with Aaron Hines to discuss and explain the new Cruising Ordinance, which was passed by City Council on May 7th.  The ordinance is aiming to reduce speeding, drag racing and loud noises on the Miracle Mile stretch ( Park Ave West).
