We discuss in this episode the importance of love to unblock a child's heart. Tina demonstrates some of the thinking of a person with a wounded heart through the words of this song, just as many of us are fearful of giving and receiving love based on past relationships. Perfect love casts out all fear, yet it can be scary to enter into this unknown territory. You are not alone! Join us as we discuss the importance of love as the healing balm for a wounded heart. 29 MAG 2022 · Greetings to all our Healing the Broken-Hearted Child podcast listeners! We are so glad to be back at the table with you today. It's been a rough year for us, with some family members being hospitalized and requiring extra support. Everyone is now well, and we plan to meet monthly with you again.
We decided to discuss what we see as walls to connecting with our children, family members, and the larger community. Just like you, we know there are many concerns that can keep us from experiencing joy and peace, particularly when fear grips us during difficult times. Please joins us as we join together to encourage you for the journey ahead.
We are also requesting some questions for a Question and Answer Podcast (probably for our August podcast). Please let us hear from you! Do you have questions about child behavior and how to address it? Are you confused by some family dynamic, and you wonder if relationships can be improved by some kind of intervention? We want to help, and your question may also help others.

1 GEN 2022 · We're so glad you joined us! Derrick, Dana, Gail, and Nancy are back together to finish our conversation on freedom...also referred to as deliverance.
This term incites fear in many but envision someone delivering a parcel that was a gift that would positively change you and your family's life. You didn't pay for it . You just have to receive it. Deliverance is freedom! An incredible gift that frees you to be able to shine fearlessly in a dark and fearful world.
This year of 2021 gave many the desire to reflect on the importance of family members and maintaining our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We choose to close this year with the
spiritual implications of forgiveness and how it affects us and our families in mind, body, and spirit.
We look forward to walking through this journey with you in 2022 towards freedom in God's everlasting love. Again, thanks for coming along!
14 NOV 2021 · Today Derrick, Dana, Gail, and Nancy come to the table this month discussing the spiritual aspects of trauma. Because we all live in this world, this unseen realm impacts all people but particularly children from hard places. Society focuses on trauma's effect on the mind and body (and we agree this is important), but we believe that we also have tools God has supplied to tear down strongholds.
Isaiah 61 Foundation trusts that God is still in the business of healing the broken-hearted and proclaiming liberty to the captives. We truly believe our lives, as well as our kids' lives, have deeply benefited from prayers for deliverance. We discuss some delicate issues in this episode, so it's best to listen to this one without the little ones listening.
