Story Transcript:

Sr: Na samom vrhu najvišeg drveta u Beogradskom zoološkom vrtu sedela je mala nestašna majmunica, gledajući dole gde su ljudi šetali.
En: At the very top of the tallest tree in the Belgrade Zoo, a small mischievous monkey sat, looking down at the people walking below.

Sr: Jelena, Marko i Ana su tog sunčanog popodneva odlučili da provedu dan uživajući u lepotama zoološkog vrta.
En: On that sunny afternoon, Jelena, Marko, and Ana decided to spend the day enjoying the beauties of the zoo.

Sr: "Kako su slatke majmune!" uzviknula je Jelena dok su prolazili pored kaveza sa majmunima.
En: "How cute the monkeys are!" exclaimed Jelena as they walked past the monkey cages.

Sr: Marko je izvadio telefon da uslika Jelenu i Anu, a Ana je stavila svoj novi šešir koji je izgledao kao da je posebno napravljen da privlači pažnju znatiželjnih majmunskih očiju.
En: Marko took out his phone to take a picture of Jelena and Ana, while Ana put on her new hat, which seemed specially made to catch the attention of curious monkey eyes.

Sr: U tom trenutku, Jelena je nepažnjom naslonila ruku na ogradu koja je bila neispravno zatvorena i majmunska vratanca su se tiho otvorila.
En: At that moment, Jelena inadvertently leaned on the faulty fence, and the monkey gate quietly opened.

Sr: Jedna brza, mala senka je odjednom proletela pored njih i iznenada, Markov telefon i Anin šešir su nestali.
En: A quick, small shadow suddenly flew past them, and suddenly, Marko's phone and Ana's hat disappeared.

Sr: "Uhvatite majmuna!" povikao je Marko, dok su svi troje počeli da trče za nestašnim lopovom.
En: "Catch the monkey!" Marko shouted as all three of them began to chase the mischievous thief.

Sr: Majmun sa telefonom i šeširom u šapama skakutao je od klupe do klupe, preko ograda, čineći pravu pometnju.
En: The monkey with the phone and hat in its paws hopped from bench to bench, over fences, causing quite a commotion.

Sr: Iznenađeni posetioci su se smejali, a deca su aplaudirala misleći da je reč o nekoj smešnoj predstavi.
En: Surprised visitors laughed, and children applauded, thinking it was part of a funny show.

Sr: Majmun je bio vešt, okretan i očigledno uživao u toj igri "žmurke".
En: The monkey was skillful, agile, and obviously enjoying the game of "catch me if you can."

Sr: U jednom momentu, činilo se kao da će Marko uhvatiti nestaška, ali majmun je elegantno skočio na jednu lestvicu i popeo se na krov sladoledžinice.
En: At one point, it seemed like Marko was about to catch the rascal, but the monkey elegantly jumped onto a railing and climbed onto the roof of the ice cream stand.

Sr: Marko, Jelena i Ana su zastali da predahnu.
En: Marko, Jelena, and Ana stopped to catch their breath.

Sr: Ana je tada dobila ideju. "Hajde da ga zamolimo da vrati!" rekla je. "Možda ako mu ponudimo sladoled..."
En: That's when Ana had an idea. "Let's ask him to give them back!" she said. "Maybe if we offer him ice cream..."

Sr: Marko je otišao do sladoledžinice i kupio najveći sladoled koji su imali.
En: Marko went to the ice cream stand and bought the biggest ice cream they had.

Sr: Njih troje su se okupili ispod mesta gde se majmun sklonio sa plenom i Marko je počeo da viče: "Hoćeš sladoled? Daj nam telefon i šešir i dobićeš sladoled!"
En: They gathered under the spot where the monkey had hidden with the loot, and Marko started yelling, "Do you want ice cream? Give us the phone and hat, and you'll get ice cream!"

Sr: Majmun je pogledao sladoled, zatim Anin šešir na svojoj glavi i Markov telefon u ruci, i izgledalo je kao da razmišlja.
En: The monkey looked at the ice cream, then at Ana's hat on its head, and Marko's phone in its hand, and it seemed to be thinking.

Sr: Nakon nekoliko sekundi napetosti, on je pažljivo sišao dole, uzeo sladoled, ostavio šešir i telefon i vratio se na svoju sigurnu grana da uživa u poslastici.
En: After a few seconds of tension, it carefully came down, took the ice cream, left the hat and phone, and returned to its safe branch to enjoy the treat.

Sr: Jelena, Marko i Ana su bili presrećni i odahnuli su s olakšanjem. Za njih, to je bio jedan neobično uzbudljiv dan u zoološkom vrtu, prepun smeha i nezaboravnih trenutaka.
En: Jelena, Marko, and Ana were overjoyed and breathed a sigh of relief. For them, it was an unusually exciting day at the zoo, full of laughter and unforgettable moments.
