If we want to know what is going on; there is a mirror in time called 'the book of Mormon' that reflects specifically what is going on today in the 'last of the last days.' Why does the prophet take so particular care to bring us this book when the chronology involved spans more than 300 years in a single page? The reasons behind it are more important than you know. Hidden in this abridgement is the mirror reflection of our society, and especially the church. Written specifically for our time, and not the time of Mormon, the prophet wants to narrow the events that took centuries for his time, into what has only taken decades for us. We have gone from a civilized people, (a people that had everything in common, a people who carried Israelites on their shoulders,) to a people that has waxed strong in iniquity. In such a short period of time we have allowed the robbers to control our society, and we have mixed ourselves with them - pledged their oaths, and become part of their secret society.
