Forget not that it has been your decision to make everything that is natural and easy for you impossible. ²If you believe the holy instant is difficult for you, it is because you have become the arbiter of what is possible, and remain unwilling to give place to One Who knows. ³The whole belief in orders of difficulty in miracles is centered on this. ⁴Everything God wills is not only possible, but has already happened. ⁵And that is why the past has gone. ⁶It never happened in reality. ⁷Only in your mind, which thought it did, is its undoing needful.

To the extent to which you value guilt, to that extent will you perceive a world in which attack is justified. ²To the extent to which you recognize that guilt is meaningless, to that extent you will perceive attack cannot _be_ justified. ³This is in accord with perception’s fundamental law: You see what you believe is there, and you believe it there because you want it there. ⁴Perception has no other law than this. ⁵The rest but stems from this, to hold it up and offer it support. ⁶This is perception’s form, adapted to this world, of God’s more basic law; that love creates itself, and nothing but itself.
