Ko: 서울의 여름날
En: A Summer Day in Seoul

Ko: 고등학교 교실은 뜨겁고 북적거렸다.
En: The high school classroom was hot and bustling on a summer day in Seoul.

Ko: 학생들은 대학 입시 준비에 바빴다.
En: The students were busy preparing for the college entrance exams.

Ko: 지호는 항상 조용히 책상에 앉아 공부하는 학생이었다.
En: Jiho was a student who always quietly sat at his desk studying.

Ko: 다른 학생들과는 거의 대화를 나누지 않았다.
En: He rarely spoke to other students.

Ko: 지호의 옆자리에는 수민이 있었다.
En: Next to Jiho sat Sumin.

Ko: 수민은 적극적이고 사교적인 학생이었다.
En: Sumin was an active and sociable student.

Ko: 그녀는 체육 활동과 악기 연주도 좋아했다.
En: She enjoyed sports and playing musical instruments.

Ko: 하지만 수민 역시 성적이 좋았고 대학 입시에 대해 진지하게 생각하고 있었다.

Ko: 지호는 잠시 멈칫했다.
En: Jiho hesitated for a moment.

Ko: "하지만 부모님 기대에 부응하려면 더 열심히 해야 해.
En: “But I need to work harder to meet my parents’ expectations.

Ko: 쉬는 시간은 사치야."라고 말했다.
En: Taking a break is a luxury,” he said.

Ko: 수민은 지호의 답변에 마음이 아팠다.

Ko: 지호는 잠시 말이 없었다.
