Story Transcript:

Lt: Vėjuotas rudenio popietė Vilniuje sukosi pro langus, kai Jonas nusprendė paragauti išties ypatingo vietinio deserto.
En: The windswept autumn afternoon in Vilnius stirred through the windows as Jonas decided to taste a truly exceptional local dessert.

Lt: Jis buvo girdėjęs apie šį konditerijos šedevrą iš savo draugų Eglės ir Karolio.
En: He had heard about this confectionery masterpiece from his friends Eglė and Karolis.

Lt: "Eik, Jonas, rasi parduotuvę netoli Šv. Jono bazilikos," patarė Eglė.
En: "Go, Jonas, you'll find the store near St. John's Basilica," advised Eglė.

Lt: Karolis užtikrintai pridūrė: "Niekas Vilniuje neruošia tokio skanėsto kaip ten."
En: Karolis added confidently, "No one in Vilnius prepares such a delicious treat like they do there."

Lt: Jonas atsidūrė Gedimino prospekte, kur žmonės skubėjo, o spalvingos parduotuvės viliojo akį.
En: Jonas found himself on Gediminas Avenue, where people hurried by and colorful shops caught the eye.

Lt: Jis ėjo tiksliais žingsniais, bet spūstis ir nukrypęs gatvės ženklas sukėlė painiavą.
En: He walked with purposeful steps, but the crowd and a turned street sign caused confusion.

Lt: Netrukus Jonas pastebėjo, kad pasiklydo.
En: Soon, Jonas noticed he had gotten lost.

Lt: Vingiuotomis gatvelėmis klaidžiodamas jis atrado keistą durų angą.
En: Wandering through winding streets, he stumbled upon an odd door.

Lt: "Gal čia?" pagalvojo jis ir įžengė vidun.
En: "Could this be it?" he thought and went inside.

Lt: Kvapas čia buvo toli gražu ne desertų - jis atsidūrė agurkų rauginimo fabrike!
En: The smell there was far from desserts - he had entered a pickling factory!

Lt: "Ką veiki čia?" išgirdo balsą.
En: "What are you doing here?" he heard a voice.

Lt: Prie jo priėjo aukštas vyriškis su rauginimo skėčiu.
En: A tall man with a pickling fork approached him.

Lt: Jonas susipainiojęs paaiškino visą situaciją.
En: In a muddle, Jonas explained the whole situation.

Lt: Vyriškis nusišypsojo ir pasakė: "Tu radai ne tai, ko ieškojai, bet išeisi su dar didesniu atradimu."
En: The man smiled and said, "You didn't find what you were looking for, but you'll leave with an even greater discovery."

Lt: Jis vedė Joną per fabriką, mokė jį raugimo paslapčių, ir galų gale, padovanojo stiklainį pačių skaniausių raugintų agurkų.
En: He led Jonas through the factory, teaching him the secrets of pickling, and finally, gifted him a jar of the most delicious pickles.

Lt: Jonas grįžo prie Gedimino prospekto, kur jo jau laukė Eglė ir Karolis.
En: Jonas returned to Gediminas Avenue, where Eglė and Karolis were already waiting for him.

Lt: "Nieko nepirkai?" - išsijuokė Karolis, tačiau Jonas tik šyptelėjo.
En: "Did you buy nothing?" Karolis joked, but Jonas just smirked.

Lt: "Pirkau ne desertą, bet už atradimą geresnis būtų sunku", - su paslaptimi rankoje Jonas pasakojo savo nuotykius.
En: "I didn't buy a dessert, but it would be hard to find a better discovery," Jonas recounted his adventure, keeping the secret in his hand.

Lt: "Tik Vilniuje galima vietoj desertinės rasti rauginimo paslaptis," nusivialio Eglė.
En: "Only in Vilnius can you find pickling secrets instead of desserts," Eglė marveled.

Lt: Visi trys juokėsi, ir jaučiasi Jonas nusprendė kitą dieną vėl pabandyti atsekti tos paslaptingos parduotuvės vietą.
En: All three laughed, and Jonas decided that the next day he would try to track down the location of that mysterious store again.

Lt: Bet dabar, net jei vėl pasiklys, jis visada turės skanią atmintį iš nerastinio Vilniaus užkampio.
En: But now, even if he gets lost again, he will always have a delicious memory from an undiscovered corner of Vilnius.
