Story Transcript:

En: That day, the sun shone brightly overhead as Budi walked towards the traditional market.

En: The market was bustling, filled with the shouts of vendors and the blending of buyers into one.

Id: Budi punya rencana untuk membeli semangka.
En: Budi had a plan to buy a watermelon.

En: He imagined how refreshing the watermelon would be when eaten with his family at home.

Id: Dengan langkah yang bersemangat, ia berkeliling pasar, mencari lapak yang menjual semangka.
En: With eager steps, he roamed the market, searching for a stall selling watermelon.

En: Before long, Budi spotted a basket full of green fruits.

Id: Tanpa berpikir panjang, ia langsung mengambil satu yang paling besar.
En: Without much thought, he immediately picked the largest one.

En: Budi was surprised because the fruit was heavier than he had imagined.

En: And only when he brought the fruit close to his nose did he realize his mistake.

Id: Itu bukan semangka.
En: It wasn't a watermelon.

Id: Itu durian!
En: It was a durian!

Id: Hatinya langsung berdebar.
En: His heart raced.

Id: Bau tajam durian itu membuat Budi pusing.
En: The pungent smell of the durian made Budi dizzy.

En: He wanted to put the durian back, but the seller approached and said, "Wow, a great choice, sir!

Id: Durian ini manis, dagingnya tebal, pasti puas deh!
En: This durian is sweet, with thick flesh, you'll definitely enjoy it!"

En: Budi, not wanting to disappoint the seller, ended up buying the durian, even though he actually didn't like durian.

En: He brought the durian home feeling anxious about how his family would react.

En: At home, Budi sighed and decided to be honest with his family.

En: He told them about the mistake he made at the market.

Id: Tetapi, alih-alih marah, keluarga Budi malah tertawa mendengar cerita tersebut.
En: But instead of getting angry, Budi's family laughed upon hearing the story.

En: They decided to open the durian together.

En: And as it turned out, although the smell of the durian could make the whole house "fragrant", the sweet taste of the durian actually made them all addicted.

Id: Mereka makan bersama, saling canda dan tawa.
En: They ate together, exchanged jokes, and laughed.

En: Since that incident, Budi learned not to rush into making decisions, especially when buying something.

En: And his family learned that sometimes, small mistakes can bring unexpected happiness.
