Uk: Зимовий день в Львові був сніжним і прохолодним. Вузенькі старовинні вулиці під снігопадом перетворювалися на казкове місце.
En: The winter day in Lviv was snowy and chilly. The narrow ancient streets turned into a fairy-tale place under the snowfall.

Uk: Там, у заметілому Львові, був Олександр, який тут зовсім не жив, а приїхав відпочити, побачити те, що його так приваблювало у цьому місті.
En: There, in the snow-covered Lviv, was Alexander, who didn't actually live there, but came to relax, to see what attracted him so much to this city.

Uk: Усміхнена Марія, парасолька над головою, прямувала саме в тому напрямку, де стояв Олександр, намагаючись визначити дорогу.
En: Maria, with an umbrella above her head, smiled and walked in the direction where Alexander stood, trying to figure out the way.

Uk: "Вибачте, не підкажете, як пройти до Ратуші?" - запитав Олександр, слегка збентежений. Але його українська мова звучала дещо дивно, він випадково намішав діалекти.
En: "Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to the City Hall?" Alexander asked, slightly confused. But his Ukrainian language sounded somewhat strange, as he accidentally mixed up dialects.

Uk: Марія заплуталась, адже її рідномовний Львів не міг розібратися в словах чоловіка.
En: Maria got confused, as her native Lviv couldn't understand the man's words.

Uk: "Мені важко зрозуміти вас, пане," - промовила вона, сподіваючись, що Олександр не образиться.
En: "I find it difficult to understand you, sir," she said, hoping that Alexander wouldn't take offense.

Uk: "Ой, пробачте, я просто не розумію вашого говірки добре. Можливо, ви покажете мені на карті?" - Олександр витягнув малесеньку карту Львова, десь ще з поїзда.
En: "Oh, I'm sorry, I just don't understand your dialect well. Maybe you can show me on the map?" Alexander pulled out a tiny map of Lviv, which he had brought from the train.

Uk: Марія усміхнулася і почала показувати йому шлях на карті, пояснюючи як проходити. Вони стояли біля пам'ятника Кролю Леопольду, прямувати треба було через Пл. Ринок, а вже там була видна Висока Ратуша.
En: Maria smiled and began to show him the way on the map, explaining how to proceed. They stood near the statue of King Leopold, and they needed to go through the Market Square, from where the High City Hall was already visible.

Uk: Олександр подякував, промовивши щось поміж його відмінковими діалектами, що змусило Марію знову посміхнутися. Він почав у тому напрямку, що йому показала дівчина.
En: Alexander thanked her, saying something among his distinct dialects, which made Maria smile again. He began walking in the direction that the girl had shown him.

Uk: І ось він уже стоїть на майдані, дивиться на Високу Ратушу. Старовинна архітектура, засніжений майдан, запашна кава з найближчої кав'ярні створюють неповторний шарм цього міста. Олександр усміхається, він втілив свою мрію - відвідати Львів. Незважаючи на труднощі з діалектом, Олександр усміхнувся та продовжував свою подорож, вкрай задоволений.
En: And there he was, standing in the square, looking at the High City Hall. The ancient architecture, the snow-covered square, and the aromatic coffee from the nearest café created a unique charm of this city. Alexander smiled; he fulfilled his dream of visiting Lviv. Despite the difficulties with the dialect, Alexander smiled and continued his journey, extremely satisfied.
