Story Transcript:

Af: Op 'n warm, sonnige oggend het Jan besluit om sy beste vriendin, Liesel, na Die Melkery te neem, 'n gewilde plaaslike boerderij waar hulle vars melk kon proe en na die diere kyk.
En: On a warm, sunny morning, Jan decided to take his best friend, Liesel, to The Dairy, a popular local farm where they could taste fresh milk and see the animals.

Af: Jan, wat al 'n ruk lank 'n sagte plek vir Liesel in sy hart gehad het, wou sy bedoelings dié dag wys deur vir haar iets spesiaals te doen.
En: Jan, who had had a soft spot for Liesel in his heart for a while, wanted to show his intentions that day by doing something special for her.

En: He stopped in front of a large, noisy machine and with a gleam in his eye, said to Liesel, "Just look at how incredible this process is, isn't it?"

Af: Liesel het geglimlag, haar oë vol verwondering terwyl sy na die borrels in die vars melk gekyk het.
En: Liesel smiled, her eyes full of wonder as she looked at the bubbles in the fresh milk.

En: At first, Liesel was startled, covering her mouth with her hands, but when she saw that Jan wasn't hurt, she began to laugh.

Af: "Ag, Jan, jy het altyd 'n manier om die dag interessanter te maak!" het sy geskerts terwyl sy haar hand uitgesteek het om hom op te help.
En: "Oh, Jan, you always find a way to make the day more interesting!" she joked, reaching out to help him up.

Af: Jan se gesig het rooier as 'n tamatie geword, maar hy het vinnig besef dat dit nie so erg was nie.
En: Jan's face turned as red as a tomato, but he quickly realized that it wasn't so bad.

Af: Liesel het nie omgegee dat hy geval het nie; inteendeel, dit het hulle nader aan mekaar gebring.
En: Liesel didn't mind that he had fallen; on the contrary, it brought them closer together.

En: Jan took a deep breath and laughed, his pride a little bruised, but his spirit intact.

Af: "Ek voel goed," het hy gesê, "solank ek jou kan laat lag."
En: "I feel good," he said, "as long as I can make you laugh."

Af: Van daardie dag af het Jan en Liesel nog baie avonture by Die Melkery gehad, maar hulle het altyd die storie onthou van die dag toe Jan probeer het om te beïndruk en op 'n plas melk uitgegly het.
En: From that day on, Jan and Liesel had many more adventures at The Dairy, but they always remembered the story of the day when Jan tried to impress and slipped on a puddle of milk.
