I'm a note taker. I jot stuff down to make sure the experience is documented. Most people run from sleepless nights. I happen to study the behavior. It's too easy to get locked into a bad habit that leads to severe areas of sleep drought. Once your creative mind is given permission to wake up at any time during the night. It will return again and again. Your creative mind is a child. It wants to play. It wants to worry and carry with it fear. If you allow it to create energy at 3am. Expect it to become your long lost friend. Over the past year I've taken a lot of notes that deal with my lifelong challenge of not sleeping at night. Meditation has been a godsend. But not a motivational style of meditation. It's been a learning process to breathe properly while creating moving pictures. Say what? Exactly. It goes hand in hand with the dimly lit green light that I leave on. A shade that somehow has been accepted by the creative mind. But how does it get rid of fear, shame and doubt? That's what I'm talking about. It's part of the choice.
