THE WORLD HEALTH ASSEMBLY is set to pass a package of amendments to the International Health Regulations that makes the World Health Organization, at least on paper, an unelected global government.

Included in the 300+ amendments are changes to the IHR that vastly expand the power of the WHO to decide what constitutes a global health emergency, even including things like carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere, and how to respond—including control over what it determines is mis- or disinformation (a so-called “infodemic”) and rushing into production new, unlicensed “investigational” medicines.
