Story Transcript:

Ru: В морозный декабрьский день, поезд "Транссибирский экспресс" медленно тронулся с платформы.
En: On a frosty December day, the "Trans-Siberian Express" train slowly left the platform.

Ru: Людмила сидела у окна, любуясь заснеженными пейзажами.
En: Lyudmila sat by the window, admiring the snowy landscapes.

Ru: Рядом с ней сидел Виктор, читая книгу.
En: Next to her sat Viktor, reading a book.

Ru: Напротив них устроилась Светлана, внимательно осматривая свой чемодан.
En: Svetlana was seated across from them, carefully inspecting her suitcase.

Ru: Вдруг поезд встряхнуло, и чемодан Светланы упал.
En: Suddenly, the train jolted, and Svetlana's suitcase fell over.

Ru: Людмила подняла его и поставила на место.
En: Lyudmila picked it up and put it back in place.

Ru: В этот момент остановка, и к ним в вагон вошел незнакомец.
En: At that moment, the train stopped, and a stranger boarded their carriage.

Ru: Он бросил свой чемодан рядом и ушел.
En: He dropped his suitcase next to them and left.

Ru: Поезд тронулся.
En: The train started moving again.

Ru: Светлана заметила, что чемодан на полу не её.
En: Svetlana noticed that the suitcase on the floor wasn't hers.

Ru: Она открыла его и нашла там таинственный пакет.
En: She opened it and found a mysterious package inside.

Ru: "Виктор, это не мой чемодан!
En: "Viktor, this isn't my suitcase!"

Ru: " воскликнула она.
En: she exclaimed.

Ru: Людмила выглянула из окна.
En: Lyudmila looked out the window.

Ru: "Этого человека уже нет на платформе.
En: "That man is no longer on the platform.

Ru: Что делать?
En: What should we do?"

Ru: "Виктор задумался.
En: Viktor pondered.

Ru: "Мы должны выяснить, кому принадлежит этот чемодан и что в пакете.
En: "We need to find out who this suitcase belongs to and what's in the package."

Ru: ""Может, в пакете что-то ценное?
En: "Maybe there's something valuable in the package?"

Ru: " предположила Людмила.
En: Lyudmila suggested.

Ru: Светлана осторожно открыла его.
En: Svetlana cautiously opened it.

Ru: В пакете лежали старинные карты и записки.
En: Inside were ancient maps and notes.

Ru: "Это похоже на карту сокровищ," сказала Светлана с удивлением.
En: "It looks like a treasure map," Svetlana said in surprise.

Ru: Вдруг за окном мелькнуло имя станции - Иркутск.
En: Suddenly, the name of the station, Irkutsk, flashed outside the window.

Ru: Виктор вспомнил, что говорил сосед по купе.
En: Viktor remembered what their compartment neighbor had said.

Ru: "В Иркутске кто-то должен был встретить его.
En: "Someone was supposed to meet him in Irkutsk.

Ru: Может, они знают что-то об этом пакете?
En: Maybe they know something about this package?"

Ru: "Трое друзей решили выйти на станции.
En: The three friends decided to get off at the station.

Ru: В Иркутске было холодно, но они нашли кафе, где могли обсудить свои находки.
En: It was cold in Irkutsk, but they found a café where they could discuss their findings.

Ru: Людмила предложила спросить у бариста, не видели ли они кого-то с описанием незнакомца.
En: Lyudmila suggested asking the barista if they had seen anyone matching the stranger's description.

Ru: К их удивлению, бариста вспомнил человека.
En: To their surprise, the barista remembered the man.

Ru: "Он говорил что-то о встрече на площади!
En: "He mentioned something about a meeting at the square!"

Ru: На площади они заметили мужчину, похожего на незнакомца из поезда.
En: At the square, they noticed a man resembling the stranger from the train.

Ru: Людмила подошла к нему с пакетом.
En: Lyudmila approached him with the package.

Ru: Мужчина побледнел.
En: The man turned pale.

Ru: "Спасибо, это мои карты.
En: "Thank you, these are my maps.

Ru: Я профессор-археолог.
En: I am a professor of archaeology.

Ru: Эти карты очень важны.
En: These maps are very important."

Ru: "Он объяснил, что карты вели к древнему кладу.
En: He explained that the maps led to an ancient treasure.

Ru: Трое друзей почувствовали облегчение.
