Story Transcript:
Lv: Vienā gaišā un saulainā rītā, Vecrīgā, tirgus laukumā valdīja rosība.
En: On a bright and sunny morning in the Old Town square, there was hustle and bustle.
Lv: Līga, kurai bija sarkanmatis, devās uz tirgu pēc svaigiem dārzeņiem.
En: Līga, who had a red scarf, went to the market for fresh vegetables.
Lv: Tāpat arī Juris, garš un brūnacainais puisis, kurš meklēja dāvanu savai māsai.
En: Similarly, Juris, a tall and brown-haired boy, who was looking for a gift for his sister.
Lv: Tad bija vēl Māris, mazs zēns ar kuplu bļodiņu, kas cerēja nopirkt zivti savai kaķenei.
En: Then there was Māris, a young boy with a small bowl, hoping to buy fish for his cat.
Lv: "Sveika, Līga!
En: "Hello, Līga!"
Lv: " pārdevēja smaidot sveicināja.
En: greeted the seller with a smile.
Lv: "Vai tev interesē kādi salāti?
En: "Are you interested in some salads?"
Lv: "Līga atbildēja, "Jā, pārdevēja kundze, es meklēju salātus un varbūt arī kādus tomātus.
En: Līga replied, "Yes, madam seller, I'm looking for salads and maybe some tomatoes as well."
Lv: "Tikmēr Māris, sabiedrībā nedrošs zēns, nolēma iegādāties zivti no blakus stenda.
En: Meanwhile, Māris, a shy boy, decided to buy fish from the next stall.
Lv: Viņš paņēma zivti un pēc brīža varēja vien piezīmēt, "Šī zivs šķiet dīvaini smagāka nekā parasti.
En: He took the fish and after a while he noticed, "This fish seems oddly heavier than usual."
Lv: "Juris, kamēr apskatīja suvenīrus, nejauši sadūrās ar Līgu.
En: Juris, while browsing souvenirs, accidentally bumped into Līga.
Lv: "Piedod, es nemanīju," viņš teica.
En: "Sorry, I didn't notice," he said.
Lv: Līgas groziņš iekrita uz zemes un visi dārzeņi izkrita ārā.
En: Līga's basket fell to the ground and all the vegetables spilled out.
Lv: Juris palīdzēja Līgai visu savākt atpakaļ.
En: Juris helped Līga gather everything back.
Lv: "Māris, tu neesi jaušām paņēmis manus dārzeņus, nevis zivi?
En: "Māris, did you accidentally take my vegetables instead of the fish?"
Lv: " Juris jautāja zēnam, pēc tam kad viņš jau bija salīdzinājis pirkumus.
En: Juris asked the boy, after comparing their purchases.
Lv: Visi trīs sāka smieties, sapratuši, ka Juris ir paņēmis Māra zivi, Māris paņēmis Līgas dārzeņus un Līga Jurim paredzēto dāvanu māsai.
En: All three started laughing, realizing that Juris had taken Māris's fish, Māris had taken Līga's vegetables, and Līga had taken the gift intended for Juris's sister.
Lv: "Ai, kāda apmaiņa!
En: "Oh, what a mix-up!"
Lv: " Līga teica ar smiekliem.
En: Līga said with laughter.
Lv: Viņi visi apmainījās atpakaļ pareizajām precēm, un Māris sacīja: "Nu, vismaz kaķenei būs īstā zivs vakariņām!
En: They all exchanged back the correct items, and Māris said, "Well, at least the cat will have the right fish for dinner!"
Lv: "Pilni prieka un aiz zvana no smiekliem viņi visi devās savās gaitās, lai turpinātu dienas darbus Vecrīgā, nodomājot, ka šis jautrais notikums noteikti jāstāsta draugiem un ģimenei.
En: Full of joy and laughter, they all went on their way, continuing their day in the Old Town, thinking that this amusing incident definitely had to be shared with friends and family.
Lv: Un tā tirgus laukumā turpinājās dzīve, katru dienu nesot kādu nelielu piedzīvojumu tiem, kas apmeklēja šo dzīvo un krāšņo vietu pašā pilsētas sirdī.
En: And so life in the market square continued, bringing a little adventure every day to those who visited this vibrant and lively place at the heart of the city.
