It: Il sole splendeva su Piazza San Marco a Venezia, illuminando le antiche pietre e i volti felici dei turisti.
En: The sun was shining over St. Mark’s Square in Venice, illuminating the ancient stones and the happy faces of tourists.

It: Giovanni e Luca erano arrivati quella mattina per visitare la città.
En: Giovanni and Luca had arrived that morning to visit the city.

It: Era la prima volta a Venezia per entrambi.
En: It was the first time in Venice for both of them.

It: "Guarda, Luca, quanti piccioni!"
En: "Look, Luca, so many pigeons!"
