What stood out for me as I watched the turtles, was how they carried their little homes with them at all times. It is their safe place where they feel most grounded. A place they can retreat to or take pause when they need a moment, in instances when the world gets too loud or busy. While we might not have a protective feature on our backs, we can create those safe grounded spaces physically in our home or spiritually in our hearts. We can picture that safe space in our mind, maybe it is our meditation space, or our toes in the sand, or the sun against our face or even a walk in nature.
