Our inspirational guest Brenda Combs used the wisdom from her mistakes to build a new life and inspire others. At age 5 Brenda was traumatized from one of her classmates calling her a racial slur. Throughout Brenda’s high school years she was bullied , which had a negative impact on her self esteem. She was introduced to crack at the age of 21 from her boyfriend. Brenda’s addiction caused her to lose jobs and an apartment. After waking up with no shoes and having to walk a mile barefoot, Brenda decided it was time for a change. After 10 years of being homeless Brenda enrolled in a program to assist with quitting her addiction and started to rebuild her goals. Today Brenda is married and runs a business with her husband that gives people a chance to reinvent their lives.
