Gaye Adegbalola is a blues singer and guitarist, teacher, lecturer, activist and photographer I love her blues songs, and I love how she plays the guitar. One of my favorite songs from her griot album “(There Is Always One More Time).

“No matter what you've been through
As long as there is breath in you
There is always one more time…”

The words to the song speaks to me. I like the fact that Miss Gaye plays the guitar along with her singing. “The Griot album" was released in 2019. The tracklist shows 17 songs.

She has another album from 1999 titled “Bitter Sweet Blues.” The tracklist sheows 14 songs.

Miss Gaye has an album from 2008 title “Gay Without Shame.” Ithas 18 songs.
And she has one more from 2012 title “Blues In All Flavors”. It has 14 songs.

You might be wondering about her surname, Adegbalola . It was the name given to her by a Yoruba priest she met in 1968. The surname translates to “I am proclaiming my royalty,” and Miss Gaye uses the name to signify her pride in her black heritage.
