Story Transcript:

Sl: V zlati jeseni, ko je listje počasi padalo z dreves in je v zraku dišalo po kostanjih, se je Matej soočal z največjim izzivom v svojem življenju.
En: In the golden autumn, when the leaves slowly fell from the trees and the air was filled with the scent of chestnuts, Matej faced the greatest challenge of his life.

Sl: Njegova šola, stara stavba obdana z bogatimi drevesi, je stala sredi doline.
En: His school, an old building surrounded by lush trees, stood in the middle of the valley.

Sl: Tam je bila vedno tišina, prekinjena le z zvoki vetra in smehom učencev.
En: There, it was always silent, interrupted only by the sounds of the wind and the laughter of students.

Sl: Matej je bil šestnajstletni dijak tega internata.
En: Matej was a sixteen-year-old student at this boarding school.

Sl: Bil je marljiv in tih, pogosto v ozadju svojih glasnejših sošolcev.
En: He was diligent and quiet, often overshadowed by his louder classmates.

Sl: V sebi pa je skrival poseben talent – znal je čudovito igrati violino.
En: However, he harbored a special talent – he could play the violin beautifully.

Sl: A zaradi pomanjkanja samozavesti tega ni rad pokazal svetu.
En: But due to a lack of self-confidence, he was reluctant to show this to the world.

Sl: Nekega dne, po hudem astmatičnem napadu, je izgubil še zadnje koščke samozavesti, ki jih je imel.
En: One day, after a severe asthma attack, he lost the last bits of confidence he had.

Sl: Fizično je bil šibek, toda želel je nekaj dokazati sebi in drugim.
En: Physically, he was weak, but he wanted to prove something to himself and others.

Sl: V internatu so pripravili glasbeni večer, ko bi Matej lahko pokazal, kaj zna.
En: The boarding school was organizing a music evening where Matej could showcase his talent.

Sl: Toda njegove šolske obveznosti so se kopičile, napad astme pa je v njem pustil dvome.
En: But his school obligations were piling up, and the asthma attack left him with doubts.

Sl: Vendar si je nekaj močno želel – nastopiti na tem odru.
En: However, he had a strong desire – to perform on that stage.

Sl: Za pomoč se je obrnil na Saro, sošolko, ki je bila vedno ob njem, in Luka, učitelja glasbe, ki ga je razumel.
En: He turned for help to Sara, a classmate who was always by his side, and Luka, a music teacher who understood him.

Sl: Oba sta ga spodbujala, mu stala ob strani in ga opogumljala, da naj ne obupa.
En: Both encouraged him, stood by him, and urged him not to give up.

Sl: Trudil se je na vajah, večkrat prekladal note po notnem črtovju, stal pred ogledalom in poskušal verjeti vase.
En: He tried hard during practice, constantly rearranging notes on the music staff, standing in front of the mirror, and trying to believe in himself.

Sl: Prišel je večer avdicije.
En: The evening of the audition arrived.

Sl: Zrak je bil hladen, a prijeten.
En: The air was cold but pleasant.

Sl: Hodniki šole so bili tihi, le v glasbeni sobi je bilo čutiti vznemirjenje.
En: The school corridors were quiet, but in the music room, there was a sense of excitement.

Sl: Matej je stal pri vhodnih vratih, obkrožen s sošolci.
En: Matej stood at the entrance, surrounded by classmates.

Sl: Njegove roke so trepetale.
En: His hands were trembling.

Sl: Ko je vstopil na oder, je občutil tesnobo.
En: When he stepped onto the stage, he felt anxious.

Sl: A nato se je spomnil Sarinih in Lukovih besed.
En: But then he remembered Sara's and Luka's words.

Sl: Globoko je vdihnil, oči so mu zažarele in začel je igrati.
En: He took a deep breath, his eyes lit up, and he began to play.

Sl: Zvoki violine so zapolnili sobo.
En: The sounds of the violin filled the room.

Sl: Z vsakim tonom je Matej pridobival samozavest, slišati je bilo srce in dušo.
En: With each tone, Matej gained confidence; you could hear his heart and soul.

Sl: Ko je končal, je bila tišina samo trenutek, nato pa je nastal glasen aplavz.
En: When he finished, there was silence for just a moment, followed by loud applause.

Sl: Njegovi sošolci so ga podpirali, učitelji so ga pohvalili.
En: His classmates supported him, and the teachers praised him.

Sl: Ko se je naslednje jutro zbudil, je bil drugačen.
En: When he woke up the next morning, he was different.

Sl: Matej je ugotovil, da lahko s svojo ranljivostjo doseže največjo moč.
En: Matej realized that with his vulnerability, he could achieve the greatest strength.

Sl: Zdaj je vedel, da če lahko premaga svoje strahove, lahko s svojim talentom in odločnostjo doseže še veliko več.
