Story Transcript:

Hu: A kampó még mindig köztünk lógott.
En: The hook still hung between us.

Hu: Anna és János most már Budapestre érkeztek, és szinte hazafelé tartottak.
En: Anna and János had now arrived in Budapest and were almost on their way home.

Hu: A város forgatagában kacagva sétáltak, boldogan társalogva arról, hogy milyen jó kis utazás volt.
En: They walked through the hustle and bustle of the city laughing, chatting happily about what a good little trip it had been.

Hu: Ahogy végigsétáltak a Duna-parton, megláttak egy szobrot.
En: As they walked along the Danube bank, they saw a statue.

Hu: Az volt a felirat, hogy 'Budapest Teknős Szobra'.
En: The sign read 'Budapest Tortoise Statue'.

Hu: Úgy döntöttek, hogy jó móka lesz egy olyan nehéz magyar szót, mint a 'teknős', kiejteni.
En: They decided that it would be fun to pronounce such a difficult Hungarian word as 'turtle'.

Hu: Anna először megpróbálta: 'te-ke-nős', de János elkezdett kacagni.
En: Anna tried first: 'te-ke-nós', but János started laughing.

Hu: 'Hahaha, nem úgy van! Próbáld meg ezt: 'te-ke-nős', és itt rámutatott az O-ra.
En: 'Hahaha, it's not like that! Try this: 'te-ke-nos' and here he pointed to the O.

Hu: Anna és János egymásra nézett és újra próbálkoztak.
En: Anna and János looked at each other and tried again.

Hu: Minden kísérletükből végül csak nevetés lett, ahogy próbálták megmondani a helyes kiejtést, de mindig valahol elcsúsztak.
En: All their attempts ended up in laughter as they tried to say the correct pronunciation but always got it wrong somewhere.

Hu: Végül rájöttek, hogy a kiejtés sem számít igazán.
En: Eventually they realized that pronunciation doesn't really matter either.

Hu: A lényeg az volt, hogy ketten vannak, boldogok, és együtt megoszthatják ezeket a nevetéseket.
En: The point was that there were two of them, happy and able to share those laughs together.

En: Sitting next to the statue, Anna and János thought that sometimes the situation is similar in life.

Hu: Az ember hajlamos túl sokat aggódni a helyes vagy helytelen dolgokon, pedig az igazi boldogság a szeretetben és az egymásra találásban rejlik.
En: People tend to worry too much about what is right or wrong, even though true happiness lies in love and finding each other.

Hu: Nem számított, hogy jól vagy rosszul mondták a szót, mert a közeledő naplemente és a csillogó Duna mellett csak ők ketten voltak, boldogsággal töltötték meg egymást.
En: It didn't matter if they said it right or wrong, because next to the approaching sunset and the sparkling Danube, it was just the two of them, filling each other with happiness.

Hu: És így a nap szépen lassan lement, a város élettel teli volt, de Anna és János csak egymást látták.
En: And so the sun slowly went down, the city was full of life, but Anna and János only saw each other.

Hu: A budapesti fények kivilágították az utat, és ahogy hazafelé tartottak, Anna összekulcsolt kezeit Jánoséba helyezte.
En: The lights of Budapest illuminated the way, and as they headed home, Anna placed her clasped hands in János's.

Hu: Kopogott a cipősarok a járdán, miközben boldogan nevettek, és tudták, hogy mindig egymásra találtak.
En: Heels clattered on the sidewalk as they laughed happily, knowing they always found each other.
