As Herbert Mullin (“The Prophet” claiming his killings prevented earthquakes), and Ed Kemper (who earned the moniker “The Butcher” or the “Co-Ed Butcher”) continue their serial killing sprees, this reign of terror marks a dark and fearful time in Santa Cruz.
