Story Transcript:

Sl: Nekega sončnega popoldneva, ko je sonce sijalo kot nikoli prej in je Ljubljana utripala z živahnostjo jesenskega dne, sta Tomaž in Maja hodila po stari, ozki ulici, ki vodi do Ljubljanskega gradu.
En: One sunny afternoon, when the sun was shining like never before and Ljubljana was pulsing with the liveliness of an autumn day, Tomaž and Maja were walking along an old, narrow street leading to Ljubljana Castle.

Sl: Na gradu je tisti dan potekal zelo pomemben dogodek, koncert klasične glasbe, ki ga je Tomaž komaj čakal.
En: There was a very important event taking place at the castle that day, a classical music concert that Tomaž couldn't wait to attend.

Sl: Bil je velik ljubitelj glasbe in ni si mogel predstavljati bolj popolnega večera.
En: He was a big music enthusiast and couldn't imagine a more perfect evening.

Sl: Tomaž in Maja sta vstopila v dvigalo, ki naj bi ju popeljalo naravnost do koncertne dvorane na vrhu grajskega griča.
En: Tomaž and Maja entered the elevator, which was supposed to take them straight to the concert hall at the top of the castle hill.

Sl: A ko se je dvigalo začelo premikati navzgor, je nenadoma obstalo.
En: But as the elevator started moving upward, it suddenly stopped.

Sl: Tomaž in Maja sta se spogledala v začudenju.
En: Tomaž and Maja looked at each other in disbelief.

Sl: "Kaj se dogaja?
En: "What's happening?"

Sl: " je vprašala Maja.
En: Maja asked.

Sl: "Ne vem," je odgovoril Tomaž.
En: "I don't know," Tomaž replied.

Sl: "Mogoče je prišlo do okvare.
En: "Maybe there's been a malfunction."

Sl: "Tomaž je poskušal poklicati pomoč s pritiskom na gumb za klic v sili, a nič se ni zgodilo.
En: Tomaž tried to call for help by pressing the emergency call button, but nothing happened.

Sl: Bila sta ujeta, dvigalo pa se ni več premikalo.
En: They were trapped, and the elevator was not moving anymore.

Sl: Koncert je že skoraj začel, in Tomaž je začutil, kako mu srce bije hitreje, njegova želja po slišati glasbo pa je postala skoraj fizično boleča.
En: The concert was about to begin, and Tomaž could feel his heart beating faster, his desire to hear the music almost becoming a physical ache.

Sl: Maja, ki je bila vedno bolj miren duh, je vzela stvari v svoje roke.
En: Maja, who was always a calm spirit, took matters into her own hands.

Sl: "Ne skrbi, Tomaž, saj bo kmalu nekdo prišel in naju rešil," je rekla.
En: "Don't worry, Tomaž, someone will come soon and rescue us," she said.

Sl: Medtem ko sta čakala, je Maja predlagala, da si pripovedujeta zgodbe, da bi čas hitreje minil.
En: While they waited, Maja suggested they tell each other stories to make the time pass more quickly.

Sl: Tomaž je sprva težko pozabil na svojo tesnobo, a med poslušanjem Majinih zabavnih anekdot in prigod iz otroštva je začel pozabljati na svoje skrbi.
En: At first, Tomaž found it hard to shake off his anxiety, but as he listened to Maja's amusing anecdotes and childhood stories, he began to forget his worries.

Sl: Ko je že skoraj izgubil vso upanje, se je zaslišal glasen 'klik' in dvigalo se je začelo premikati.
En: Just when he had almost lost all hope, they heard a loud 'click,' and the elevator started moving.

Sl: V trenutku so bila vrata odprta in Tomaž z Majo sta bila svobodna.
En: In an instant, the doors opened, and Tomaž and Maja were free.

Sl: Čeprav sta zamudila večino koncerta, jima je uspelo ujeti še zadnji del.
En: Although they had missed most of the concert, they managed to catch the last part.

Sl: Glasba je bila čudovita, a Tomaž je spoznal, da je prava harmonija prišla iz prijateljstva in mirnosti, ki ji je bila priča z Majo v dvigalu.
En: The music was beautiful, but Tomaž realized that true harmony had come from the friendship and calmness he had witnessed with Maja in the elevator.

Sl: Zgodba o njuni pustolovščini se je hitro razširila med ostalimi obiskovalci, in Tomaž in Maja sta postala del neke nove zgodbe, ki se je tkala sredi zgodovinskih zidov Ljubljanskega gradu.
