Hosts Liz Lawless and Charles Flores Hearn honor Professor/Actor Clarence Gilyard (Walker Texas Ranger, Matlock, Die Hard, The Karate Kid II, Top Gun, Left Behind and Left Behind II and others. In 2016, he also starred as Hoak Colburn in an onstage version of Driving Miss Daisy with his Walker Texas Ranger co-star Sheree J. Wilson) along with other Guests sharing the impact that he made on their lives or as one of the contemporary Black Cowboy Marshals on television.
Gilyard taught stage and screen acting as an associate professor in the College of Fine Arts – Department of Theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Professor Gilyard was a beacon of light and strength for UNLV.
