Hu: Budapest, a Duna gyöngye, történelme szőtte textúrája hívogatóan terpeszkedik fényes nappal, csillagos éjjel. Most, délutáni nyüzsgés közepette sétálgat ott két jó barát, László és Eszter. Belváros szívében találkoztak, ahol a színes bárok, forgatag és kacsintással csábító éttermek nyüzsgésében tűntek el.
En: Budapest, the pearl of the Danube, spreads invitingly with its tapestry woven by history, in the bright daylight and starry night. In the midst of the bustling afternoon, two good friends, László and Eszter, stroll there. They met in the heart of downtown, where they disappeared amidst the colorful bars, the hustle and bustle, and the enticing winks of the restaurants.

Hu: László a jó szívű, aki vég nélkül tud derűt csepegtetni a környezetébe. Eszter pedig kacér félénkséggel, de mégis határozott önbizalommal telt, olyan, mint a tavaszi szellő, aki múló pillanatok alatt képes örömet szórni.
En: László is kind-hearted, constantly dripping cheerfulness into his surroundings. Eszter, on the other hand, is coquettishly shy yet filled with strong self-confidence, like a spring breeze that can bring joy in fleeting moments.

Hu: Betérnek egy kis hangulatos étterembe, a Vörös Oroszlánba. Itt-ott festmények, a történelmet idéző szőnyegek és lámpák díszítik a teret, ami homályos fényével, titokzatos aurájával igazán egyedülálló káprázatot nyújt.
En: They enter a cozy little restaurant called the Red Lion. Paintings, carpets reminiscent of history, and lamps adorn the room, creating a uniquely enchanting atmosphere with their dim light and mysterious aura.

Hu: László tanácstalanul vizslatja az étlapot. Eszter észreveszi a zavarodott tekintetét és szóba elegyednek az ételek különösen érdekes neveiről. Bundleofsorrow, Dragon's Breath, Mystery of the Orient... Végül László a Dragon's Breath leves mellett teszi le a voksát, anélkül, hogy tudná, mit takar a neve.
En: László gazes at the menu, unsure of what to choose. Eszter notices his confused look and they start discussing the particularly interesting names of the dishes. "Bundleofsorrow," "Dragon's Breath," "Mystery of the Orient"... Finally, László decides on the Dragon's Breath soup, without knowing what the name implies.

Hu: A leves megérkezik. Gőze felhőként száll a plafon felé, piros színével pedig megidézi a sárkányok tűzét. László kanalat merít, majd hatalmas kortyot vesz belőle. Fogai között csípős ízek robbannak szét. Testében hő hullám fut végig. Arcán forró pír gyúl, homlokán pedig gyöngyöző izzadtság jelenik meg.
En: The soup arrives. Steam rises towards the ceiling like a cloud, while its red color evokes the fire of dragons. László scoops up a spoonful and takes a huge sip. Fiery flavors explode between his teeth. A wave of heat runs through his body. A hot blush appears on his face, and beads of sweat form on his forehead.

Hu: Próbálja leplezni, hogy rossz választást tett, de a könnyek, miközben arca völgyeibe stafétát adnak az ellenőrizhetetlen reakciónak, kitörnek szeme sarkából. Az étteremben elcsendesül a zsongás, pincérnél megáll az élet, László elnyomhatatlan émelygését, s félelmetes pattogását várják.
En: He tries to conceal the fact that he made a bad choice, but tears well up in the corners of his eyes, breaking free from his uncontrollable reaction. The buzz in the restaurant subsides, life pauses as they anticipate László's unstoppable nausea and frightening burst.

Hu: Eszter hirtelen felnevet, elveszíti az egyensúlyát és székről a földre zuhan. Sírva-röhög, míg le nem hunyja a szemét, hogy az elé táruló látványt tovább élvezhesse. Az étteremben kialakult csendet ismét a nevetés töri meg, addig, amíg mindenki vele együtt nevet.
En: Suddenly, Eszter bursts into laughter, loses her balance, and falls from her chair to the ground. She cries and laughs at the same time, closing her eyes to savor the sight that unfolds before her. Laughter once again breaks the silence in the restaurant, as everyone joins in her laughter.

Hu: Az abszurd helyzetben idővel mindenki megkönnyebbülten távozik az étteremből, László könnyeit nevetés válthatja ki, Eszter pedig továbbra is hahotázva, de tisztán látja barátja arcát.
En: In this absurd situation, eventually everyone leaves the restaurant feeling relieved. László's tears give way to laughter, and Eszter continues to giggle but now sees her friend's face clearly.

Hu: Így történt, hogy egy egyszerű leves, csípős mint a sárkány lehelete, egy egész napot nevetésbe borított. E színes találkozás emléke még ma is ott él a két barátban és a Vörös Oroszlán falain. Budapest, ez a forróleveses város, sosem fogja elfelejteni azt a délutánt, amikor a bánatot nevetés váltotta fel és az élet, sülve-főve, az éttermi csípős leves ízében tovább folytatódott.
