Story Transcript:
En: Frogner Park was illuminated by the warm summer sun.
En: The bushes and trees bathed in golden rays while children laughed and ran around, and the sound of distant traffic filled the air.
En: Sigrid and Lars walked along the lush paths, smiling and curious about each other.
Nb: Sigrid var spent.
En: Sigrid was excited.
Nb: Hun likte virkelig Lars og ønsket å imponere ham.
En: She really liked Lars and wanted to impress him.
En: She always tried to show that she could be active, even though she had asthma.
Nb: I dag ville hun nyte turen uten å bekymre seg for mye.
En: Today she wanted to enjoy the walk without worrying too much.
Nb: Lars pekte mot en statue.
En: Lars pointed at a statue.
En: "Look, it looks impressive," he said enthusiastically.
Nb: De gikk nærmere for å se.
En: They walked closer to see.
Nb: Plutselig følte Sigrid seg kortpustet.
En: Suddenly Sigrid felt short of breath.
En: She stopped and tried to breathe deeply, but her lungs wouldn’t cooperate.
Nb: "Er du OK, Sigrid?" spurte Lars, bekymret.
En: "Are you okay, Sigrid?" Lars asked, concerned.
En: She nodded quickly, even though she saw the panic in his eyes.
En: Sigrid knew that Ingrid, her best friend and a paramedic, was also in the park.
Nb: De hadde avtalt å møtes senere.
En: They had planned to meet later.
En: But now she felt weak and embarrassed.
En: "I'm just a bit tired," Sigrid said quickly, trying to keep walking.
Nb: Lars rynket pannen.
En: Lars frowned.
Nb: "Er du sikker? Du ser ikke så bra ut."
En: "Are you sure? You don't look so good."
Nb: Sigrid ville ikke virke svak foran Lars.
En: Sigrid didn’t want to appear weak in front of Lars.
Nb: Hun visste at hun burde rope på hjelp, men stoltheten hennes holdt henne tilbake.
En: She knew she should call for help, but her pride held her back.
En: But her breathing got worse, and she began to see black spots.
Nb: Da dukket Ingrid opp rundt et hjørne.
En: Then Ingrid appeared around a corner.
En: "Sigrid!" she shouted, running towards her friend.
Nb: Hun så umiddelbart at noe var galt.
En: She immediately saw that something was wrong.
I... can't..." Sigrid managed to say, and Ingrid quickly pulled an inhaler from her bag.
En: "Hold on, Sigrid. I'm here," Ingrid said calmly and professionally.
En: Lars looked startled, unsure of what to do.
En: Ingrid helped Sigrid to sit down.
En: "Take a deep breath, calm now," she said, aiding Sigrid in using the inhaler.
Nb: Sakte, men sikkert, begynte Sigrid å puste lettere.
En: Slowly but surely, Sigrid started to breathe easier.
Nb: "Takk, Ingrid," hvisket hun.
En: "Thank you, Ingrid," she whispered.
En: Lars sat down next to Sigrid.
Nb: "Hvorfor sa du ikke noe? Du skremte meg!" sa han mykt.
En: "Why didn’t you say anything? You scared me!" he said softly.
En: "I didn’t want you to see me as weak," Sigrid said, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Nb: Lars tok hendene hennes i sine.
En: Lars took her hands in his.
En: "Sigrid, you’re strong because you’re honest and brave. I’m here for you, no matter what," he said warmly.
Nb: Ingrid smilte.
En: Ingrid smiled.
Nb: "Dere skal nok klare dere fint sammen," sa hun beroligende.
En: "You two will be just fine together," she said reassuringly.
Nb: Sigrid smilte svakt.
En: She realized she didn’t need to hide her vulnerability. Lars saw her for who she was, and it brought them even closer.
Nb: De tre satt sammen i solen, omringet av liv og latter i parken.
En: The three sat together in the sun, surrounded by life and laughter in the park.
En: Sigrid felt safe and appreciated, and she knew she could finally be herself, both with Lars and with Ingrid by her side.
