Understanding God
We not only think we know who God is, but many times, we try to set ourselves up as God. Instead of realizing that we are created an imager of God, we try to make God in our image. We are invited to know God, and this is accomplished by knowing His Word and following His precepts found in His Word. We are responsible for the revelation that God has provided to us, but there is so much that we will not understand, and that is ok. By faith, we believe, even when we may not fully comprehend God and his plan for the world and each of us individually. So it has been since the creation of humankind, we walk by faith, not by sight. Unlike those from the time of creation through when God came to earth through the incarnation of Jesus Christ, we do have God’s complete revelation to humans, which is His Word. God’s Word contains all that He chose to reveal to us, but we still have much we do not know about God, His ways, and how He works. Our focus needs to be on building God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We aim to restore Eden, where God, His divine creatures, and humankind will dwell together as we serve Him.

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord.
“And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
