Story Transcript:

Cy: Roedd y haul yn chwilboeth dros Gastell Conwy, lle'r oedd pobl wedi dod ynghyd ar gyfer yr Eisteddfod, yr ŵyl ddiwylliannol fawreddog lle mae cerddoriaeth, dawns a barddoniaeth yn cael eu dathlu yn frwd.
En: The sun was shining warmly over Conwy Castle, where people had gathered for the Eisteddfod, the grand cultural festival where music, dance, and poetry are celebrated fervently.

Cy: Roedd Eilir a Rhys, dau gyfaill o'r un pentref, yno i gymryd rhan mewn cystadlaethau dawnsio traddodiadol Cymreig.
En: Eilir and Rhys, two friends from the same village, were there to take part in traditional Welsh dance competitions.

Cy: Eilir, sydd bob amser yn chwilio am antur a sbri, roedd wedi paratoi'n frwd ar gyfer y diwrnod mawr.
En: Eilir, who always seeks adventure and enjoyment, had prepared eagerly for the big day.

Cy: Ond wrth i'r awr gychwynnol nesáu, sylwodd ar gamgymeriad mawr.
En: But as the initial hour approached, she noticed a major mistake.

Cy: Wrth wisgo ei sgert, sylweddolodd nad ei sgert goch ei hun ydoedd – ond sgert Rhys!
En: While putting on her skirt, she realized that it wasn't her own red skirt – it was Rhys's!

Cy: Ei gyfaill oedd wedi bod yn gofalu am y dillad ar y noson cynt ac yn amlwg, daeth eu sgertiau gymysg.
En: Her friend had been taking care of the clothes the previous night and evidently, their skirts got mixed up.

Cy: Rhys, yn fwy distaw ac yn fwy traddodiadol na Eilir, roedd wedi ymdrechu'n hir i fireinio'i sgiliau dawnsio.
En: Rhys, being quieter and more traditional than Eilir, had been striving to hone his dancing skills.

Cy: Pan welodd ei sgert ar Eilir, roedd ei wyneb mor goch â'r tecstilau o'i flaen.
En: When he saw his skirt on Eilir, his face turned as red as the fabric in front of him.

Cy: Ond, gyda dim ond munudau i aros cyn iddyn nhw alw ei enw, nid oedd amser ar gyfer cyfnewid neu gywiro'r camgymeriad.
En: But with only moments to wait before they called his name, there was no time for an exchange or to correct the mistake.

Cy: Eilir, a oedd bellach yn lapio'i hun yn y sgert liwgar, gorfodwyd i gamu i'r llwyfan, a phawb yn syllu.
En: Eilir, now wrapped in the colorful skirt, had to step onto the stage, with everyone watching.

Cy: Yn ei galon roedd ganddo ddau ddewis – i gilio mewn embaras neu fanteisio ar y cyfle i wneud rhywbeth cofiadwy.
En: In her heart, she had two choices – to succumb to embarrassment or to seize the opportunity to do something memorable.

Cy: Dewisodd ddawnsio.
En: She chose to dance.

Cy: Gyda cherddoriaeth yn cychwyn a chalon Rhys yn curo yn ei wddf, Eilir ddechreuodd symud.
En: With the music starting and Rhys's heart pounding in his throat, Eilir began to move.

Cy: I ddechrau, roedd yn ansicr, ond gan sylweddoli ei fod wedi dal sylw'r gynulleidfa, ennill hyder a gollyngodd ei hun i mewn i'r rhythm.
En: At first, she was hesitant, but realizing she had captured the audience's attention, she gained confidence and immersed herself in the rhythm.

Cy: Ei gamau yn gyflym ac yn siŵr, ei droedfedd yn chwarae'r ddaear yn olau.
En: Her steps were swift and sure, her feet playing the ground like light.

Cy: Daeth y groesgamau a'r naidiau gymhleth yn hawdd iddo, fel petai Rhys ei hun yn arwain ei symudiadau.
En: The intricate cross steps and complex turns came easily to her, as if Rhys himself were guiding her movements.

Cy: Rhys, yn sefyll yn y dorf, aeth o deimlo gywilydd i gyffro yn gwylio Eilir yn cymryd y llwyfan.
En: Rhys, standing in the crowd, went from feeling sheepish to excited as he watched Eilir take the stage.

Cy: Roedd y trychineb bach hwn wedi troi i fod yn foment o falchder, wrth i'w gyfaill ddangos nid yn unig dawn dawnsio ond hefyd dewrder tywysog.
En: This small mishap had turned into a moment of pride, as his friend showed not only the skill of dancing but also the courage of a prince.

Cy: Pan ddaeth y gerddoriaeth i ben, sefyllodd y gynulleidfa i gyd yn eu hesgidiau, yn bloeddio ac yn cymeradwyo'n uchel.
En: When the music ended, the entire audience stood in their shoes, applauding loudly.

Cy: Eilir, ddawnsiwr dewr y sgert goch, wedi ennill calonnau a meddyliau'r pawb a gawsant y pleser o wylio.
En: Eilir, the brave dancer in the red skirt, had won the hearts and minds of everyone who had the pleasure of watching.

Cy: Rhys, hwnnw a roddodd ei sgert i Eilir yn anfwriadol, daeth yn ôl at ei ffrind gyda gwên fawr.
En: Rhys, who had unintentionally lent his skirt to Eilir, came back to his friend with a big smile.

Cy: Ti ddawnsiodd fel arwr," meddai wrtho.
En: You danced like a hero," he said to her.

Cy: Eilir, gyda gwên hyfryd, atebodd, "Ac roedd hi gyd oherwydd dy sgert di."
En: Eilir, with a lovely smile, replied, "And it was all because of your skirt."

Cy: O'r diwrnod hwnnw ymlaen, bu Eilir a Rhys yn fwy na chyfeillion yn unig; daethant yn gymrodyr mewn traddodiad ac enghraifft fod camgymeriadau weithiau'n gallu arwain at fuddugoliaethau mawr a chwerthin hyd y llen.
En: From that day on, Eilir and Rhys were more than just friends; they became brothers in tradition and an example that mistakes can sometimes lead to great victories and laughter all the way.
