Uk: Вирушити в мандри Іван завжди любив.
En: Ivan always loved going on trips.

Uk: Про вулиці Києва, столиці України, він знав усе.
En: He knew everything about the streets of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.

Uk: Ось і в цей раз, перебуваючи на вподобаній вулиці з пишними каштанами, він вирішив відвідати "Le Soleil d'Or".
En: So this time, while he was on his favorite street with lavish chestnut trees, he decided to visit "Le Soleil d'Or".

Uk: Що може бути кращим ніж шикарний французький ресторан?
En: What could be better than a fancy French restaurant?

Uk: Двері ресторану відчинились.
En: The restaurant doors opened.

Uk: Іван переступив поріг.
En: Ivan stepped inside.

Uk: Велике кригляне дзеркало на стіні відбивало величнезний люстру з кришталевими підвісками.

En: The waitress tilted her head to the side, looking at him expectantly.

Uk: "Мені хотілося б попробувати традиційний український борщ з пампушками", - продовжив він.
En: "I would like to try the traditional Ukrainian borscht with dumplings," he continued.

Uk: Це викликало плутанину на обличчі дівчини.
En: Confusion spread across the girl's face.

Uk: Вона намагалася зберегти професійну посмішку, але її очі бігали від Івана до меню в її руках.
En: She tried to maintain a professional smile, but her eyes darted between Ivan and the menu in her hands.

Uk: "Містере.
En: "Sir...

Uk: Але це французький ресторан.
En: But this is a French restaurant.

Uk: Боюсь, у нас немає в меню борщу", - вкінці сказала вона, стараючись бути такою ввічливою, як тільки могла.
