Story Transcript:

Uk: Вулиці старого Львова в південному світлі виглядали особливо мальовничо.
En: The streets of old Lviv looked particularly picturesque in the southern light.

Uk: Іван, Оксана та Петро, троє давніх друзів, спланували зустріч у кафе під назвою "Серпанок", розташованому біля площі Ринок - центрального місця старовинного міста.
En: Ivan, Oksana, and Petro, three old friends, planned to meet at a cafe called "Serpanok" located near the Market Square - the central place of the ancient city.

Uk: Спека була така, що вся трійця мріяла про холодний напій.
En: The heat was so intense that the whole trio longed for a cold drink.

Uk: Іван був відповідальним за замовлення кави.
En: Ivan was responsible for ordering coffee.

Uk: Він був втомлений після довгого дня і поспішав почути новини від друзів.
En: He was tired after a long day and eager to hear news from his friends.

Uk: Тому просто показав баристі кількість пальців, щоб показати кількість порцій.
En: So he simply showed the barista the number of fingers to indicate the number of servings.

Uk: Але він не помітив, що разом з пальцями на руці показав ще й кільця, викликавши невелике непорозуміння.
En: But he didn't notice that along with his fingers, he also showed off his rings on his hand, causing a minor misunderstanding.

Uk: Бариста посміхається і йде готувати замовлення.
En: The barista smiled and went to prepare the order.

Uk: Минуло кілька хвилин, аж ось бариста почав несення столиків біля їхнього столу.
En: After a few minutes, the barista started carrying tables near their table.

Uk: І кожен з них був повненько накритий чашками кави.
En: And each of them was fully covered with cups of coffee.

Uk: Усі були вражені та розсміяні кількістю кави.
En: Everyone was amazed and amused by the amount of coffee.

Uk: Оксана засміялась: "Іване, ти серйозно думаєш, що ми можемо випити стільки кави?
En: Oksana laughed and said, "Ivan, do you really think we can drink so much coffee?"

Uk: " Іван не міг відповісти на її питання, він був дивовижно збентежений.
En: Ivan couldn't answer her question; he was remarkably flustered.

Uk: Петро був більш практичним.
En: Petro was more practical.

Uk: Він запропонував не витрачати гарну каву: "Що, якщо ми запропонуємо декілька чашок сусіднім столам?
En: He suggested not wasting the good coffee: "What if we offer a few cups to the neighboring tables?"

Uk: " Після певного моменту вони почали ділитися кавою.
En: After a moment, they started sharing the coffee.

Uk: Всі в кафе засміялись, кава була роздана, і друзі продовжили свою зустріч.
En: Everyone in the cafe laughed, the coffee was distributed, and the friends continued their meeting.

Uk: І хоча його початок був трохи хаотичним, кожен з них згодом згадував цей вечір з усмішкою.
En: And although its beginning was a bit chaotic, each of them later recalled this evening with a smile.

Uk: Вони могли бути впевненими, що Іван більше не замовляв каву.
En: They could be certain that Ivan would no longer order coffee.

Uk: Але навіть якщо він це зробив, вони були готові до ще одного веселого вечора з десятком чашок кави.
En: But even if he did, they were ready for another fun evening with a dozen cups of coffee.
