Story Transcript:

Lv: Rīgas saule smaida, un tirgus rosība sākas.
En: The sun smiles over Riga, and the hustle and bustle of the market begins.

Lv: Aija, jurģiniece ar spilgtu matu saiti, soli pārklāj Rīgas Centrāltirgu.
En: Aija, a girl with a bright ribbon in her hair, walks towards the Riga Central Market.

Lv: Nav ne diena, kad Aija neiet pie sava mīļākā kāpostu tīteņu pārdevēja Ansī.
En: There isn't a single day when Aija doesn't visit her favorite cabbage sprout seller, Ansī.

Lv: "Labrīt, Ansī," sveicina Aija, pievedinoties kāpostu tīteņu smaržai. "Dod man lūdzu desmit no tiem gardajiem."
En: "Good morning, Ansī," greets Aija, approaching the scent of cabbage sprouts. "Please give me ten of those delicious ones."

Lv: Ansis viņai smaida. "Protams, Aija, bet uzgaidi minūti. Man vēl jāpieņem viens zvans."
En: Ansī smiles at her. "Of course, Aija, but please wait a minute. I need to take one more call."

Lv: Aija klaigā atsaucas, "Nav jautājumu!" un gaida. Viņa pārvietojas pie kastes ar kāpostu tīteņiem, bet nejauši aizķer savu somu par kaut ko.
En: Aija calls out, "No problem!" and waits. She moves towards the crates of cabbage sprouts, but accidentally catches her bag on something.

Lv: Aija izliekas uz priekšu, lai sakārtotu radušos haosu. Neredzot, kur liek rokas, Aija jūt, kā tās iegrimst siltos, mīkstos... matos?
En: Aija leans forward to sort out the mess. Not seeing where she's putting her hands, Aija feels them sink into something warm and soft... hair?

Lv: Pēkšņi viņa dzird izbrīnītu balsi. "Hei, kas te notiek?!"
En: Suddenly she hears a surprised voice. "Hey, what's going on here?!"

Lv: Aija palēkā un atpakaļ soļo. Viņas acu priekšā nav tīteņi, bet gan Juris – ilgstošs tirgus apmeklētājs, pazīstams ar savu kuplo zaļo matu šķipsnu, kam tiešām ir kāpostu krāsa.
En: Aija jumps back. Instead of the sprouts, she sees Juris – a regular market visitor known for his thick green hair that does indeed resemble cabbage.

Lv: Starpība vienīgā – tie smaržo pēc zāļu šampūna, nevis kāpostiem.
En: The only difference – it smells like herbal shampoo, not cabbage.

Lv: "Ai, Jurij, piedod!" Aija nosarkst kā biete. "Es domāju, ka tu esi kāpostu tīteņi..."
En: "Oops, Juris, I'm sorry!" Aija blushes. "I thought you were cabbage sprouts..."

Lv: Juris smejas. "Nu ko, tas ir kompliments vai pazemojums?"
En: Juris laughs. "Well, is that a compliment or an insult?"

Lv: Abi saprotas uz smiekliem, un Ansis atgriežas, pamanot nelielo sajaukumu.
En: Both of them understand and burst into laughter, while Ansī returns, noticing the little mix-up.

Lv: "Kad jau Juris kļuvis par manu konkurentu kāpostu biznesā?"
En: "When did Juris become my competitor in the cabbage business?"

Lv: Trīs draugi turpina smieties, bet Aija beidzot saņem savus tīteņus.
En: The three friends continue to laugh, and Aija finally gets her sprouts.

Lv: Viņa nolemj atgādināt sev – reizēm cilvēki un kāposti var izskatīties līdzīgi, bet acis ir jātura vaļā.
En: She decides to remind herself – sometimes people and cabbages may look similar, but one must keep their eyes open.

Lv: Un tā viņi visi turpina savu dienu tirgū, atceroties dienu, kad Aija nomainīja Juriju ar kāpostu tīteņiem.
En: And so they all continue their day at the market, remembering the day when Aija mistook Juris for cabbage sprouts.
