Story Transcript:

Sl: Pod svetlobo ene same žarnice se je kamen na kamni stopil v srce bunkerja.
En: Under the light of a single bulb, the stones had fused into the heart of the bunker.

Sl: Ob stenah so stale police, prepolne konzerv s hrano, plastenk z vodo in preživetvenega orodja.
En: Shelves lined the walls, overflowing with canned food, bottles of water, and survival gear.

Sl: Vonj zemlje in kovine je napolnil prostor.
En: The smell of earth and metal filled the space.

Sl: Matej je zaskrbljen stal sredi bunkerja.
En: Matej stood worried in the middle of the bunker.

Sl: "Jana, moramo biti pripravljeni.
En: "Jana, we need to be prepared.

Sl: Nikoli ne veš, kaj prinaša prihodnost," je rekel in pogledal zaloge.
En: You never know what the future holds," he said, looking at the supplies.

Sl: Jana, njegova žena, je vstopila in naslonila roke na boke.
En: Jana, his wife, entered and rested her hands on her hips.

Sl: "Matej, ali nisi že čez mero?
En: "Matej, haven't you gone overboard?

Sl: Koliko konzerv res potrebujemo?
En: How many cans do we really need?"

Sl: "Matej je vzdihnil.
En: Matej sighed.

Sl: "A ni bolje imeti preveč kot premalo?
En: "Isn't it better to have too much than too little?

Sl: Če pride do nesreče, nočem, da nam kaj manjka.
En: If a disaster strikes, I don't want us to be lacking anything."

Sl: "Jana se je nasmehnila, a njen glas je bil nežen in razumevajoč.
En: Jana smiled, her voice gentle and understanding.

Sl: "Vem, da želiš poskrbeti za nas, ampak ali ni življenje tudi v tem trenutku pomembno?
En: "I know you want to take care of us, but isn't living in the moment important too?"

Sl: "Matej je pomislil.
En: Matej thought for a moment.

Sl: Police so bile polne.
En: The shelves were full.

Sl: Morda je šel res predaleč.
En: Perhaps he had gone too far.

Sl: Vendar ga je še vedno skrbela prihodnost.
En: But he still worried about the future.

Sl: "Kaj pa če zmanjka hrane v trgovinah?
En: "What if the stores run out of food?

Sl: Kaj potem?
En: What then?"

Sl: "Jana je spustila roke in stopila bližje.
En: Jana lowered her hands and moved closer.

Sl: "Matej, pomembno je, da smo pripravljeni, ampak ne sme nas do tega dotolči strah.
En: "Matej, it's important that we're prepared, but we mustn't be overwhelmed by fear.

Sl: Najti moramo ravnotežje.
En: We need to find balance."

Sl: "Oba sta dolgo stala v tihoti.
En: They both stood in silence for a long time.

Sl: Nato se je Matej strinjal.
En: Then Matej agreed.

Sl: "Prav imaš.
En: "You're right.

Sl: Pripravljenost je pomembna, a tudi uživanje v sedanjosti.
En: Preparedness is important, but so is enjoying the present.

Sl: Ne smemo pozabiti živeti.
En: We mustn't forget to live."

Sl: "Zadovoljna, da sta našla srednjo pot, sta Jana in Matej strnila svoje načrte.
En: Satisfied that they had found a middle ground, Jana and Matej streamlined their plans.

Sl: Dogovorila sta se, da bosta obdržala razumnost pri zalogah, a ne bosta pozabila na vsakodnevne radosti.
En: They agreed to maintain reasonable supplies but not forget daily joys.

Sl: Ko sta zapuščala bunker, se je Matej ozrl nazaj na police, na hitro pregledal zaloge in začutil mir, ki ga prej ni imel.
En: As they left the bunker, Matej glanced back at the shelves, quickly surveyed the stock, and felt a peace he hadn't felt before.

Sl: Jana ga je prijela za roko in mu nežno rekla: "Gremo domov, ljubi.
En: Jana took his hand and gently said, "Let's go home, my love."

Sl: "Ponosna, da sta se našla na sredini, sta se oba počutila bolj pripravljena in zadovoljna, kajti zdaj sta vedela, da ne gre le za preživetje, temveč tudi za življenje.
En: Proud that they had found common ground, they both felt more prepared and content, for now they knew it wasn't just about survival but about living too.
