In his 52 years of creating music, His smash hit “American Pie” resides in the Library of Congress National Recording Registry and was named a Top 5 Song of the 20th Century by the Recording Industry of America (RIAA). As Don tells Andy, American Boys tells the story of those that invented Rock and Roll. Singing backup on several tracks on the Album is the group Home Free.
Don tells Andy about some of his musical influences and the process in getting a song recorded and how that has changed through technology.
