Story Transcript:

Nb: Høyt oppe på det norske fjellet, i en koselig hytte, bodde det en familie. Familien ble fullført med Lars, Ingrid og hunden deres, Kjell. Alle elsket vinteren, spesielt når snøen falt som sølvflak ned i landskapet.
En: High up in the Norwegian mountains, in a cozy cabin, lived a family. The family was complete with Lars, Ingrid, and their dog, Kjell. They all loved winter, especially when the snow fell like silver flakes onto the landscape.

Nb: Lars og Ingrid, frosset, men oppspilt, stod ute med store vottene på. De prøvde å samle snø for å bygge en snømann. Snørullene de skapte ble større, kaldere og mer spennende. Hver snøball var en stein i byggingen av deres fantastiske snø-kreasjon.
En: Lars and Ingrid, freezing but excited, stood outside with their big mittens on. They tried to gather snow to build a snowman. The snow rolls they created became bigger, colder, and more thrilling. Each snowball was a stone in the construction of their fantastic snow creation.

Nb: Men Kjell, deres rampete og lekne hund, trodde de lekte en lek. Han sprang etter de store og småde snøballene. Med ett sprang, knabbet han en snøball med sin kalde snute. Med et annet hopp, stjal han enda en. Lars og Ingrid lo først, høyt og muntert, men deres latter begynte å falme.
En: But Kjell, their mischievous and playful dog, thought they were playing a game. He chased after the big and small snowballs. With one leap, he snatched a snowball with his cold snout. With another jump, he stole another one. Lars and Ingrid laughed at first, loudly and cheerfully, but their laughter began to fade.

Nb: Lars sa, "Kjell, vi prøver å bygge en snømann!" Kjell logret, tenkte de fortsatt lekte. Ingrid kjente sin frustrasjon vokse. "Kjell, slutt med det!" sa hun skarpt. Men det hjalp lite. Kjell fortsette sin rampete lek, uvitende om deres økende frustrasjoner.
En: Lars said, "Kjell, we're trying to build a snowman!" Kjell wagged his tail, thinking they were still playing. Ingrid felt her frustration growing. "Kjell, stop it!" she said sharply. But it helped little. Kjell continued his mischievous play, unaware of their growing frustrations.

Nb: Så, Ingrid fikk en idé. Hun bygget en liten snøball, så liten som en ert, og kastet den langt bort. Kjell, som den rampete hunden han var, sprang etter snøballertingen. "Lars, raskt!" sa hun. Sammen bygget de snømannen mens Kjell jaget snøballen i det fjerne.
En: Then, Ingrid got an idea. She built a small snowball, as tiny as a pea, and threw it far away. Kjell, being the mischievous dog he was, chased after the small snowball. "Lars, quickly!" she said. Together, they built the snowman while Kjell chased the snowball in the distance.

Nb: Det tok tid, innsats og mange koppers varm kakao, men endelig stod snømannen ferdig. Kjell kom tilbake, pustende og fornøyd. Han satte pawene på snøballene, men de var for store og tunge til å flytte. Kjell logret, gikk og la seg i snøen, trett etter leken.
En: It took time, effort, and many cups of hot cocoa, but finally, the snowman was finished. Kjell returned, panting and content. He put his paws on the snowballs, but they were too big and heavy to move. Kjell wagged his tail, laid down in the snow, tired after his play.

Nb: Lars og Ingrid lo og klapset hverandre i hendene. Deres snømann stod bred og høy, nesten som en vakt ved hyttens dør. De kikket på Kjell, som sov søtt i snøen, og deres frustrasjoner smeltet bort. Selv om Kjell hadde kastet snøballene deres, elsket de fortsatt hunden sin.
En: Lars and Ingrid laughed and clapped their hands. Their snowman stood broad and tall, almost like a guard at the cabin's door. They looked at Kjell, sleeping peacefully in the snow, and their frustrations melted away. Even though Kjell had thrown their snowballs, they still loved their dog.
