La tassidermia mi ha sempre affascinato. Per carità, non praticarla, neanche avere a casa animali impagliati. Per me la tassidermia è come un brutto incidente stradale che non si vuole vedere però si vuole vedere quello che è successo. Mi ha sempre affascinato, nonostante il mio grandissimo amore per gli animali io per più di vent'anni anni, quasi per trent'anni non ho mangiato carne, ho ripreso qualche anno fa. Questo per dire che nutro un incondizionato, totale, profondo amore per gli animali però la tassidermia mi ha sempre affascinato tant'è che qualche tempo fa comprai anche un libro sulla tassidermia "Taxidermy step by step" che è una guida completa illustrata "to skinning, tanning, mounting" insomma proprio come fare gli animali. Mi ricordo che per curiosità iniziai anche a sfogliare le pagine di questo libro acquistato in un mercatino dell'usato e la cosa che mi colpì fu la totale mancanza di sensibilità nei confronti degli animali. Cioè in questo libro si parla di animali come se fossero degli oggetti, quindi non c'è nessun tipo di amore, di rispetto per il corpo eccetera. Perché vi parlo di tassidermia? Perché tra le cose che mi capitano ogni mattina nelle diverse newsletter che ricevo, c'è quella di Atlas Obscura che mi propone un corso per impagliare uccelli in volo. Sono tre sessioni costa 65 euro a persona, è "online experience" quindi sarà una cosa online. Non è che ti fanno impagliare l'uccello però ti danno le tecniche, poi ti danno anche i pdf che ti puoi scaricare, tra l'altro c'è un link che dice chi volesse poi effettivamente impagliare un uccello diamo anche il link per acquistare legalmente i campioni di uccelli. Insomma, una cosa affascinante e terribile. Sempre a proposito di tassidermia se vi interessa c'è un bellissimo libro di Yann Martel che non conoscete se non come l'autore di "Vita di Pi" Life of Pai, un libro intitolato "Beatrice e Virgilio". Pazzesco, bellissimo, struggente, un libro difficile da leggere perché a volte è così duro e così travolgente. Però vale veramente la pena leggerlo, e al centro di questo libro, tra le altre cose, c'è anche un tassidermista, quindi se volete una lettura impegnativa ma veramente che dà soddisfazione per l'estate, ve lo consiglio. Metterò tutti i link comunque nelle note al programma. Sì, la tassidermia mi ha sempre affascinato. Volevo condividere con voi quest'altra mia mania che però non ho mai messo in pratica.
