The Bakersfield 3 were three friends from Bakersfield, California, who either went missing or were murdered in the spring of 2018.
Micah Holsonbake disappeared on March 23, 2018. In the days leading up to his disappearance, Micah told his parents that he feared for his life and believed he was being followed while driving.
James Kulstad was killed on the morning of April 8, 2018, after arriving at an acquaintance’s home in Southwest Bakersfield. He was shot dead, and the suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a silver sedan that was seen driving erratically in the neighborhood.
Baylee Despot was last seen on April 24, 2018. Before she vanished, she had been involved with a known Bakersfield criminal, Mathew Queen, who is suspected of playing a role in her disappearance.
All three victims knew each other. On our podcast, we dive into the publicly available details and explore whether or not these cases are connected.
