A great promise we can hold to as genuine believers in Christ is that true believers do not perish in the end, but persevere (John 10:27-29). However, we also know that perseverance is not passive, but active. Perseverance is not easy, but difficult. As we await the Lord’s return, James paints a picture of what it looks like for the genuine believer to persevere to the end.
