Podcaster Services

Spreaker Paid Subscriptions

By opting for one of our paid subscriptions (Pro Plan), you'll unlock a host of enhanced functionalities:

  • Manage multiple podcasts under a single account.
  • Organize users and roles for collaborative podcast production.
  • Utilize the Campaign Manager for seamless ad campaign control.
  • Gain deep insights with advanced analytics.

Spreaker accommodates credit card payments for convenient billing cycles, whether monthly or annually, based on your preferred selection.

Charges for your subscription will commence from the date of your subscription activation or plan conversion. These charges will recur on the same day each month or year, as per your initial selection, until you opt to terminate your account. To view the exact commencement date of your forthcoming renewal period, kindly access the Account Settings page and follow the provided links.

Please note that billing dates may vary due to time zone differences between your system and Spreaker's. Spreaker's billing system will automatically debit your credit card on the same day as the initiation of your Pro plan. In scenarios where the Pro plan's initiation date falls outside a given month or year, your credit card will be charged on the final day of said month or year. For instance, if your Pro plan started on January 31st, the subsequent billing date would be February 28th.

Should any payment not be received promptly or if Spreaker encounters difficulties while processing your credit card transaction, we reserve the prerogative to revert your plan back to Free Account status.

Should you choose to upgrade from your existing paid subscription to a higher tier, our system will provide you with a credit equivalent to the sum you initially paid for your subscription, minus the pro-rated amount for the duration you were on the current subscription. This credit will be applied to lessen the expense of your new subscription, with an immediate charge for the remaining balance. Additionally, the billing date for subsequent recurring payments will be adjusted to coincide with the upgrade date.

AdHub advertising

Creators have the opportunity to run short audio promo advertisements for their podcasts. These promos will be inserted into other creators' shows on Spreaker and podcast apps connected via RSS distribution.

Campaigns within AdHub are billed based on a CPM (cost per thousand downloads) model. Creators are charged in advance for their campaigns. Campaigns within AdHub are initiated based on the date selected by the creator. AdHub Ads are not subject to monthly or yearly billing cycles. The campaigns will conclude at the scheduled date or once the prepaid credit is depleted.

Prior to the initiation of a campaign, Spreaker will review the audio promo to ensure it adheres to our platform's rules and regulations. Spreaker reserves the right to reject any promotion that is deemed unsuitable at its sole discretion.

Creators can manage their AdHub Ads through the AdHub Dashboard. This includes canceling campaigns or adding more funds for ongoing promotions.

All fees and charges related to AdHub Ads are non-refundable. There are no refunds or credits for partially used periods of Ad campaigns.

Subscription-Based Membership

As a podcaster on Spreaker, you have the option to offer memberships to your supporters on a subscription basis that automatically renews. This means that your supporters will pay a recurring fee to access your exclusive content and benefits.

We take care of processing the payments from your supporters and dealing with any issues that may arise, such as fraud, chargebacks, and disputes. For this service, we charge a processing fee which is deducted from your earnings. The amount of this processing fee varies according to the payment method and payment platform your subscribers use. Up-to-date information can be found at this link.

We pay you on a monthly basis if the balance in your account accumulates to a value of $10.00 over any timeframe. Each subscription earnings will be accrue in your Account 60 days after the end of the month in which you earned the subscription fees. For example, if you earned some amount in June, we will pay you such amount, minus our fee, at the end of August. All payments will happen exclusively through the PayPal account associated with your Spreaker account.

There are some situations where we may block or withhold your funds for violating our terms or policies or for complying with legal obligations, such as collecting tax information. When this happens, we will try to inform you as soon as possible and explain the reason. If you have any questions or concerns about your funds being blocked or withheld, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you.

We also want to protect you from fraudulent payments that may harm your reputation or cause you financial losses. Sometimes, we may block payments from supporters that we suspect are fraudulent or abusive. Other times, we may have to issue refunds or chargebacks to supporters who request them or dispute their payments. These actions may result in your account balance becoming negative and any fees that you paid to Spreaker and/or that Spreaker paid to the payment processors and credit card companies may not be refunded to you. If your balance becomes negative, we reserve the right to recover those funds from your future payments.

Supporter Services

Supporting podcasters with paid membership

You can show your appreciation and support for your favorite creators by subscribing to their memberships or purchasing their offerings on Spreaker. By doing so, you will receive special benefits such as shoutouts, exclusive content, or merchandise, depending on the creator’s preferences.

You will pay a recurring fee on a monthly basis that automatically renews until you cancel. Spreaker is the entity that handles the billing and charges for your subscriptions and offerings.

The amount and frequency of each subscription or offering vary depending on the creator and the type of membership or offering you select. You can see the details before you confirm your purchase or subscription and you can also view all your active subscriptions and your billing history in your "Account Settings".

When you become a supporter, you get a limited license to access and listen to the creations that the creator makes available to you. This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, and only for your own personal, non-commercial use. The creations that you access through your subscription or offering may become unavailable at any time for various reasons, such as the creator’s decision, Spreaker’s policies, or legal obligations.

General billing information for all products

Spreaker reserves the right to modify existing fees and charges or introduce new ones periodically. However, we will provide you with advance notice of these changes via email. Should you wish to update your credit card information, such as switching to a different card or in the event of changes to its validity or expiration date, you can do so by accessing your "Account Settings" page. In case your credit card reaches its expiration date, your continued use of Spreaker implies your consent for us to continue charging that credit card. As such, you remain accountable for any outstanding amounts. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date contact and payment information is your responsibility.

Your recurring charge date might differ from your initial subscription date due to factors like variations in time zones between your location and the billing system's operation zone, or fluctuations in month lengths resulting in an earlier previous charge date. Please be aware that membership subscription fees can increase, with notice provided to you.

If you make a payment in a currency that differs from the currency linked to your payment method, the financial institution associated with that method might levy a foreign transaction fee. It's important to note that we neither impose nor control this fee, have no knowledge of its application, and do not receive any portion of the fee.

Even if you pay using the same currency as the one linked to your payment method, if the payment is processed in a country that differs from the country linked to your payment instrument, the financial institution might impose a foreign transaction fee. We would like to emphasize that we do not apply this fee, lack information about its application, and do not gain any proceeds from it. However, it's possible that our choices regarding payment processing could potentially result in the imposition of this fee.

Your Spreaker Pro plan, AdHub Ads, or Membership subscription will remain active unless you decide to cancel each service, or we terminate them. To prevent being billed for the upcoming month's or year's fees, you need to cancel your Spreaker paid subscription or membership before it automatically renews on a monthly or yearly basis. The credit card you provided during registration (or a different card if you updated your account information) will be charged for the relevant monthly or yearly fees for your paid subscription or membership, along with any applicable taxes.

It's important to understand that Spreaker Pro plans, AdHub Ads, and memberships are prepaid and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or credits for partial months or years. You have the freedom to cancel your Spreaker Pro plan or membership at any time, and the cancellation will take effect immediately. To initiate the cancellation of your Pro plan or membership, please use the "Account Settings" page. However, please be aware that cancelling your Pro plan or membership will not result in a refund for the most recent (or any previous) monthly or yearly charges that have already been incurred.
