18 APR 2023 · With the field of pharmacy evolving, community practice has started to adapt clinical services into its practice setting. New practice services also mean new opportunities for new graduates and residency opportunities. Providence Medical Group has a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy residency program in Monroe, WA focused on providing services for outpatient care. Ambulatory Care Academy PGY1 representative, Elizabeth Satterwhite, PharmD, interviews current residents Alicia Stark, PharmD and Vivian Lee, PharmD on their day to day life as residents in this program as well as considerations for what it means to be in a community pharmacy residency.
4 GEN 2023 · UW graduate, Ramon Garza, hosted a podcast discussion on the topic of “Learning in the Time of COVID-19.” The panel included two faculty members Dr. Lingtak-Nenader Chan and Dr. Leigh Ann Mike, as well as two fourth-year pharmacy students Michelle Nguyen and Stephanie Yu. The discussion included conversations about how faculty and students adjusted to teaching and learning virtually.
