Worlds. Creative Identities

  • 1. Why

4 GIU 2024 · An identity is much more than a nationality, a job title, a social status. Once we integrate our life stories, it becomes a tool that we can design and get creative with.A few minutes to explain why I called the podcast Creative Identities.

  • INTW.1 - “Living life outside of the script” Kale M. Connor

4 GIU 2024 · My friend Kale M. Connor is a freelance UX designer (whom I’ve worked with and first launched Worlds as a design studio some time ago :). They have been living, working and also studying architecture in Paris for the past couple of years. Together, we spoke about their childhood in the US, growing up in a house that was in the making, getting creative with their sisters and parents, but also about what it means to be a thirty something studying with Gen Z french students in Paris in today’s world, about their vision of non monogamous love relationships in queer culture, and what it means to design inclusive digital platforms and more…

  • ID N°1 - Star Wars, Identity and Complexity

4 GIU 2024 · I went to an exhibition called Star Wars Identities back in 2012 at the Cité du Cinéma in Paris. It became one of the reasons why I ended up studying coaching and cognitive behavioural therapies. Here is why !

  • ID N°2 - Amy, Avicii, Ayurveda

4 GIU 2024 · What do these three A's have in common? The secret to artists' mental health and balance. In this short episode of ideas that stayed with me, I'm sharing how deeply moved I've been by the sad endings of so many musicians stories and my wish to make the creative industry better know the solutions offered by Ayurveda.

  • INTW.3 - “Everybody doesn’t think: I can be what I want to be” Dionne Maxwell

4 GIU 2024 · I think it was two years ago. I was watching a round table conference to which Dionne Maxwell was participating. Every year, the ad industry needs new buzzwords, so the focus was moving away from green and more and more focusing on inclusion and diversity. Only one person stood out for me and it was Dionne’s impactful speech where she was giving it to us straight as should be : inclusion needed to be replaced by the word belonging. For as long as there will be people to include, it will mean they were excluded in the first place. So I reached out to Dionne to get the chance to meet her, to learn more about who she is and how she has evolved in the HR field, how she has developed her strong and truthful voice. We talked about creativity, about how she came to realize the limiting narratives that hurt our society and also about how it’s been to live with epilepsy since she was diagnosed only a year ago.

  • INTW.4 - “Le livre d’Histoire, c’était elle.” Camille Gouy-Debas

    Ascoltato 49 min. 50 sec.
  • ID N°3 - Eckhart, Ru Paul, Hawking : muse-collecting

4 GIU 2024 · My favorite thing in the world is to collect "muses" : people who've said or done something that expanded my horizons, made my world more abondant with possibilities.Warning: many muses are to be encountered in the interview episodes of this podcast ;)
    Ascoltato 5 min. 31 sec.

  • ID N°4 - Brangelina, improv, reality-fiction

4 GIU 2024 · It's easy to listen to someone's life story on social media or through entertainment channels and let ourselves believe that it's all based on facts. It doesn't mean it's not fun to be in the audience or amongst the writers.Maybe it's time we name this genre "reality fiction" to make sure we keep a healthy vision of what's at play ?
