Hi my name is Ricky Barden and welcome to my Podcast. Every day I will be looking at a new topic from the Bible which I hope will inspire and encourage you to have a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Feel free to comment on anything I say as I welcome the opportunity to have a discussion.
I have been a born again Christian for 43 years. I would consider myself a reasonably mature Christian.
Not only am I very well read but I have also read the Bible every day and more than 50 times cover to cover. The holy spirit is still teaching me new things about the kingdom every time I come to him with open arms and an open heart.
I am not a viable scholar or a preacher just a layperson who has a hunger to know God and His very real power. Join me today and every day as I look at topics such as the final judgement, holiness,angels,heaven and hell and parenting and a lot lot more.

20 MAG 2020 · Yes we all have free will but God is sovereign and has a master plan which will come to pass. there are many things which are outside of our control but have a big bearing on the direction of our lives.
19 MAG 2020 · Our reputation or standing is often influenced by our job, our house, our car, our wealth. but who are you really? When you die you will leave all this behind and all that will be left is you before your maker.
18 MAG 2020 · If you’re someone who uses the gym you know to get the results you want will involve effort and consistency. As you strain each ligament and every muscle so it will stretch,repair and grow stronger. Your body is transforming from one shape to another. Following Jesus and Imitating his behaviour as we have been called to do in Ephesians5vs1 involves consistent discipline and self restraint as our character matures.

27 APR 2020 · Today we are going to consider if there are degrees of punishment in hell. This place is sometimes referred to as Sheol which is the Hebrew word or Hades which is the Greek.
24 APR 2020 · In 1Corinthians six verse 19 he says do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy spirit who is in you. God now requires us to live a holy and pure life and this means honouring Him with our body too.
When you read the list of what God hates most sexual immorality always comes up near the top for our God is a jealous God whose Love is emence and all consuming.
23 APR 2020 · Marriage Is For Life.
When we change together we grow together and become stronger together but when we don’t change together we continue to grow but grow apart and in different directions. The key is togetherness and unity but life and it’s challenges can fragment our focus as we deal with problems on our own and not together as a unit. When this starts to happen disagreements and arguments ensue .
17 APR 2020 · So what does happen when the Christian dies? some say that we soul sleep until the resurrection of the dead but this is not what Jesus says. In Luke 23 verse43 He tells the thief on the cross today you will be with me in paradise. And earlier in Luke 16verse 19 Jesus told the story of the rich man and Lazarus. The rich man was in a place of torment called Hades and the poor man was in a place of comfort and joy called paradise. Note that the resurrection of their bodies was yet to take place so they were in a disembodied state. yet the rich man saw Lazarus, he recognised Lazarus, he felt pain and was in torment and he was thirsty.. so the rich man also retained his consciousness his identity and his memories. although he didn’t have a body he was still able to talk and express emotion.
7 APR 2020 · Yesterday we were looking at how great marriage is when things are going well. There’s nothing better than to share amazing experiences with the one you love.. but marriage especially Christian marriage is for life and we all change as we grow older. Our tastebuds change, our aspirations change as well as the realisation of our own limitations. So our hopes and dreams and expectations change too.

If you find you are arguing more or perhaps talking less to each other then it’s time to reverse the trend and remember why are you fell in love in the first place with each other.
