Little did she know that in Canada the abuse would continue by her father physically, and her Canadian peers through racism. She tells us her story of resilience and healing. Spirituality, strong core beliefs, looking inwards, and using descriptive, expressive images that clearly articulate paradoxes in the physical realm. Maz, in this interview, vulnerably unfolds her wings from her core, and shares with us true messages of love, kindness and peace - wise gifts of words that we can all use to strengthen ourselves along our own healing journeys.

A background that Teresa really made the most of. Academically, Teresa excelled. She did all the right things and pursued academia, showing how she really is amazing and can put herself to challenging tasks in her own right. Yet there was something missing. Teresa looked inside to find the answers and through this process, although very difficult and not for the "faint-hearted," as she says, her life is much richer, much more meaningful.
