2 SET 2026 · On the night of November 12, 2016, 26-year-old Joey Comunale left Stamford, Connecticut, for a night out in Manhattan. The Hofstra graduate hit a club in the Meatpacking District with a friend, then accepted an invitation to an afterparty at a luxury apartment on the Upper East Side. Apartment 4C belonged to James Rackover. Also there were Lawrence “Larry” Dilione, Max Gemma, and a small group of women they’d met that night. There was drinking. There was cocaine. By early morning the women were gone. Joey never walked out of that building again.

28 AGO 2026 · San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York is caught answering an undercover prostitution ad, showing up at an Ohio mobile-home park with cash and a wedding ring still on his finger. Former University of Kentucky cheerleader Laken Snelling tearfully pleads guilty after her infant son is found wrapped in a towel inside a trash bag in her closet. In Livingston Parish, a local bakery is cooking up more than cakes. Counselor Karen Solomon—co-founder of a first-responder mental-health group—vanishes after her officer husband is found dead; days later her body is discovered with a gun nearby in what police call a tragic murder-suicide.
A woman who sued Kenny Chesney for $300,000 loses her appeal. Iryna Zarutska’s family files a lawsuit. Then we rewind to August 2003 and the Pizza Bomber case: Brian Wells walks into an Erie, Pennsylvania bank with an explosive collar around his neck, follows a scavenger-hunt note, and dies on live television when the device detonates before the bomb squad arrives.
Ex-cop Sean Grayson dies in prison. A man is charged after a crane grapple takes a co-worker’s head. Five people are shot in Washington. In overtime: a killer uses DoorDash to get the murder weapon, a husband tells police his wife died of postpartum depression, a mom helps her son clean up a murder scene, and a Penn State fraternity is caught forcing pledges to cut up cocaine. From NFL boardrooms to a Louisiana bakery to one of the FBI’s strangest unsolved-feeling plots that actually got solved—this is the week that refused to stay quiet.

12 AGO 2026 · In February 1997, 30-year-old Douglas Gissendaner left a friend’s house after working on cars and drove home to the house he shared with his wife, Kelly, in Auburn, Georgia. He never made it back alive. What looked at first like a robbery gone wrong in a remote wooded area of Gwinnett County was anything but random. Douglas was forced at knifepoint into his own car, driven deep into the woods near Harbins Park, ordered to his knees, beaten with a nightstick, and stabbed repeatedly in the neck. His watch and wedding ring were taken to stage a robbery.
His body was left for animals to find. The real architect of the crime was not the man who wielded the knife—Gregory Owen, Kelly’s lover—but Kelly herself. She had planned the murder for months, rejected divorce as an option because she believed Douglas would “never leave her alone,” and wanted the house and the life insurance money. On the night of the killing she drove Owen to the house, handed him a nightstick and a hunting knife, then went out dancing with friends to create her alibi. She later returned to the scene as the murder was being carried out.

7 AGO 2026 · Another packed episode with some wild crime related stories coming your way today! KJ and Jim talk Louisiana’s newest crime laws just took effect August 1st, and the changes are already reshaping how cases are handled across the state. Meanwhile in Tangipahoa Parish, Border Patrol somehow loses two handcuffed men, and a Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was involved in an unrelated shooting just miles away.
A bizarre Alabama double killing appears connected to a decade of strange Facebook posts. Updates keep coming on the In-N-Out Burger mass shooting. A man is behind bars for allegedly sparking wildfires in Spokane. Defense attorneys in the Madison Brooks trial are fighting to keep the color pink out of the courtroom. And in the “Lustful Lawbreakers” file, bathroom sex leads to yet another arrest. Also this week: the Lindsey Clancy trial is underway, and a third person has been arrested in the Nolan Wells case for making threats to kill. In Overtime The True Crime Time Machine takes us back to the Hatfield-McCoy feud. A man walks free after a Kentucky child murder case collapses. Alexee Trevizo scores a major win at the Supreme Court. And a YMCA camp counselor is arrested for the third time on SA charges.
