In a way all of my students teach me more about myself and inspire me to give more in every single lesson they attend. This is the first series: After class thoughts of a dance teacher by Sandy Maya.

choreographing versa performing
11 MAR 2019 · In this episode Sandy talks about choreographing pieces and performance. Choreographing does not equal being able to perform your creation. I have choreographed for individuals who can better dance what I created than if I were to deliver it. Choreographing alone does not ensure success. Once the piece is created, the dancer needs to learn it by heart and then "perform" it. There's a difference between learning a routine and practising it to performance level ( another podcast to come on that )
