28 SET 2026 · Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
Kyle is joined by Jesse James Gibbore, author of A Hallow Ruse, for a deep dive into the history, commercialization and spiritual implications of one of America's most popular holidays.
Jesse shares his own journey from a childhood fascination with horror and special-effects makeup to eventually deciding that Halloween would have no place in his children's upbringing. From there, Kyle and Jesse examine Samhain, All Hallows' Eve, All Saints' Day, the Reformation, early trick-or-treat traditions and the transformation of Halloween into a multibillion-dollar industry.
They also examine Aleister Crowley, Anton LaVey, modern occultism, Acts 19 and the biblical response to magical practices.
Finally, the conversation turns toward the church itself. Should Christians participate in Halloween? Are trunk-or-treat events actually different? And are Christian parents unknowingly normalizing spiritual darkness for their children?

21 SET 2026 · The Flood destroyed the giants—but did it end the Watcher rebellion? According to 1 Enoch and Jubilees, the spirits of their offspring remained upon the earth, while the Watchers themselves were imprisoned awaiting judgment.
In Part 2, we trace that ancient supernatural story into the New Testament. We examine the possible origin of demons, Jesus’ proclamation to the “spirits in prison,” the demons’ terror of the abyss, Caesarea Philippi beneath Mount Hermon, the Gates of Hades, and the possibility that Hermon was the mountain of the Transfiguration.
Then we turn toward Jesus’ warning concerning the Days of Noah.
Modern humanity can edit DNA, manipulate embryos and cross biological boundaries through technologies previous generations could barely imagine. Add controversial allegations involving non-human biologics, reverse-engineered technology and hybridization, and an ancient pattern begins to look increasingly relevant.
Not every modern development is another Watcher event. But the deeper question remains: when knowledge gives humanity the power to cross a boundary, does that mean we have the authority to cross it?

14 SET 2026 · Genesis 6 may describe something far larger than the story of angels producing giants.
In Part One of this two-part investigation, we examine who the Watchers were, why the “sons of God” in Genesis 6 were understood as heavenly beings, what happened when they produced the Nephilim, and why Scripture eventually says that “all flesh had corrupted its way.”
Using Genesis, Daniel, Job, Jude, 1 Enoch, and the Book of Jubilees, we follow the rebellion from its beginning to Mount Hermon, the oath of the Watchers, the rise of giant offspring, Azazel’s forbidden teachings, escalating violence, and the possibility that the corruption reached beyond humanity into the created order itself.
Could the Flood have been more than judgment against human sin? Could it also have been a cleansing of a world whose God-given boundaries had been violently overturned?
And what exactly survived when the giants died?
That question leads directly into Part Two.
Please share this episode with someone who needs to hear it. Word of mouth remains one of the most powerful ways you can help The Word at War reach people searching for these subjects.

7 SET 2026 · What if the forbidden knowledge of the Watchers survived the Flood?
The Book of Jubilees tells the strange story of Kainam, a descendant of Noah who discovered ancient writings carved into stone containing teachings about the sun, moon, stars, celestial omens, and the signs of heaven. He copied what he found, concealed it from Noah, and became part of a tradition connecting forbidden knowledge with the post-Flood world.
Even more mysterious, Kainam appears in Luke's genealogy of Jesus and the ancient Septuagint, yet is absent from Genesis in most modern Bibles.
Kyle follows this trail through Scripture, Jubilees, the rise of celestial religion in Mesopotamia, Nimrod and Babel, Abraham's family in Ur and Haran, and ancient sites including Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe. The investigation eventually reaches later traditions involving Chaldean astrology, Hermeticism, and the Emerald Tablet.
But the most important contrast may be between Kainam and Abraham himself.
One looked to the heavens for hidden knowledge. The other learned to look beyond the heavens to the God who created them.

31 AGO 2026 · The Trinity is one of Christianity's most foundational doctrines—but how did the doctrine Christians recognize today actually develop?
In Part 4 of Dangerous Theologies, Kyle traces the theological and political history behind the Trinity, beginning with the early church and moving through Tertullian, Origen, Arius, Emperor Constantine, the Council of Nicaea, Constantinople, and Augustine.
Then the investigation moves from history to Scripture.
Hebrews 1, John 1, John 14, Genesis, Psalms, Exodus, and the Divine Council worldview raise difficult questions about the relationship between the Father and Son.
Who created the world? Who appeared throughout the Old Testament if no one has seen God? Why does Scripture call Christ God while also referring to "God, your God"? And what does the Bible mean when it describes Christ as begotten?
This isn't presented as a salvation issue or a reason to divide Christians. It's an invitation to put tradition beside Scripture and test what we've been taught.

24 AGO 2026 · America's AI boom requires enormous amounts of electricity, water, land, and infrastructure—and the corporations building it are increasingly competing for resources that communities and agriculture also depend upon.
Kyle is joined by Bennett Tanton of Broadcasting Seeds, who spent nearly twelve years working in commercial nuclear security, to examine what America's rapidly expanding data-center economy could mean for nuclear power, the electrical grid, water supplies, farmland, food production, and national infrastructure.
But this conversation quickly becomes about something much larger.
As artificial intelligence, digital identity, cashless commerce, automated logistics, agriculture, energy, and communications become increasingly interconnected, Bennett and Kyle ask whether society is trading independence for dependence upon centralized systems controlled by corporations and governments.
They also discuss AI singularity, nuclear security, the vulnerability of America's electrical grid, water preparedness, self-sufficiency, Christian community, and the biblical implications of a system capable of controlling economic participation.
The answer isn't fear.
It's discernment, preparation, community, biblical literacy, and faithfulness to Christ regardless of what comes next.

17 AGO 2026 · Is the Church really promised an escape before the Tribulation? In Part Three of the Dangerous Theology series, Kyle examines the history and biblical case for the pre-tribulation rapture—one of the most influential end-times doctrines in modern evangelical Christianity.
We trace the development of dispensational pre-tribulation theology through John Nelson Darby, C. I. Scofield, Dallas Theological Seminary, Hal Lindsey, and the Left Behind phenomenon before comparing those teachings with Scripture and the expectations of the earliest Christians.
Then Kyle lays out why he believes Scripture points toward believers enduring significant end-times persecution before Christ gathers His Church.
This isn't about breaking fellowship over eschatology. It's about asking whether Christians have been taught to prepare for escape when Scripture repeatedly emphasizes endurance.

27 LUG 2026 · This episode analyzes the biblical relationship between faith, obedience, sanctification, perseverance, and final salvation. Using the teachings of Jesus, James, Paul, Hebrews, and Revelation, Kyle examines whether Scripture supports the modern belief that good works are optional after a person professes faith in Christ.

Modern Christianity often teaches that salvation is permanently settled during a single moment of belief—regardless of whether repentance, obedience, holiness, perseverance, or spiritual fruit ever follow.
But is that what Jesus taught?
Christ said His disciples would be known by their fruit. He warned that branches failing to remain in Him would be removed and burned. James asked whether a faith without works could save anyone and concluded that faith without works is dead.
In this second installment of Dangerous Theologies, Kyle examines:
• Why works cannot earn forgiveness or atone for sin
• The difference between justification, sanctification, and salvation
• Why salvation is described in past, present, and future terms
• What Jesus taught about obedience and bearing fruit
• Why James said faith without works is dead
• How Paul connected grace with holiness and perseverance
• The penalties Scripture associates with fruitlessness
• How indulgences, the Reformation, antinomianism, revivalism, and Free Grace theology shaped the modern debate
• Whether salvation can be separated from discipleship
• Why final judgment is repeatedly described as being according to works
Works cannot replace Christ. They cannot purchase forgiveness. They cannot erase sin.
But Scripture never treats obedience as irrelevant.
Grace brings us to Christ. Living faith produces obedience. Sanctification transforms us into His likeness. Those who belong to Christ are called to remain in Him, bear fruit, and endure to the end.
“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
—James 2:17
