20 MAR 2023 · Wouldn’t it be epic to be a rock star? Fame. Money. Glory. Amazing, right? Well, not so much.
Not many of our guests have had as much commercial success, or worldly success, as Steele Croswhite. In his days as a rock star, he shared stages with some of the biggest bands of the 90s and early 2000s like The Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow, Ziggy Marley, The Foo Fighters, and more.
Then, Jesus came and his life completely changed. It’s an exciting episode that reminds us that the path of following Jesus over everything is the path to true joy.
Psalm 119:74 (NLT)May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, for I have put my hope in your word.

Who is Steele Croswhite?
Signing his first record deal at the age of 21, Steele Croswhite began his career as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist for the acclaimed rock band Silvercrush. While the group earned Billboard chart success and toured with artists like Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, and Maroon 5, Croswhite’s life was falling apart. He drifted from his Christian upbringing, lured by the trappings of fame and reeling from his father’s untimely death. Encouraged by his sister to visit the church she was attending, Croswhite experienced the true grace of Jesus Christ and rededicated his life to the Lord. Today, he serves as a pastor and worship leader at The Rock Church, a suburban Salt Lake City congregation on a mission to share the Hope and grace of Christ in Utah—a state with among the fewest Bible-believing Christians in the country. It was. Through outreach efforts in the community, including those from Mormon/LDS backgrounds, The Rock Church seeks to work together, in unity, to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
The Rock Music is the worship ministry of The Rock Church. It is a collaboration of musicians who are dedicated to writing, recording, and performing relevant Christ-centered music without compromise. Rooted in the local church, our sole desire is to: Love God, Bless the Saints, & Win the Lost. With Christ as our anchor, each musician subscribes to the following mission statement: I have been put on the earth to touch the world for God through music, and to be part of the best bands in the world known for loving Jesus Christ. The collective—helmed by Croswhite—has released 11 full-length records and eight EPs. In addition, selections from The Rock Music are showcased on the DREAM Records and PURE FLIX releases “God's Not Dead: A Light In Darkness Soundtrack” and “Samson: Songs From and Inspired by the Motion Picture”. Their latest single “Mercy” is available now on all streaming platforms.

13 MAR 2023 · God is calling us to a place of elevated thinking, which all starts with studying the Word of God in order to be truly transformed. One of my life verses is Romans 12:2 (NLT):
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Bethel Music Worship Leader, Brian Johnson, is our guest on this week’s episode of The Walk; a devotionals podcast for worshippers. His call to get back to the basics and his transparency about his personal struggles will be a true encouragement to all of those who listen. He challenges us, through Revelation 4, to “come up here” and elevate the way we think about the difficulties of life.
Pain, suffering, the tools the enemy uses to try and pull us away from the truth found in the Bible, are simply that, tools or tactics, and when we allow God to transform the way we think, pain and suffering are viewed through a different lens.

6 MAR 2023 · There’s no question that humans love to overcomplicate things. We do it in relationships, in our work, and in our striving for material wealth and success, but, as Jaime Jamgochian points out in this great episode of The Walk, we also overcomplicate our worship time.
Simplicity in worship isn’t just a catchphrase or the latest fad, it’s the way the Lord would want us to approach him. The phrase Jaime references of “in spirit and truth” is from John 4 when Jesus is talking to the woman at the well and he says,
“23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Jesus was referring to the fact that, because of him, there’s no longer a need to worship at a temple and through a priest. Anyone can worship anywhere in the right spirit, or the correct heart posture, and with truth, or understanding and being in agreement with the gospel message as truth.
Jaime’s call to simplicity can be a great practical reminder of the fact that all we need is an understanding of the gospel message and a heart focused on God and we can worship anywhere and anytime.

Who is Jaime Jamgochian? Sitting down to talk with worship artist Jaime Jamgochian you quickly realize she is a woman of faith who God is using in many different ways through her music and message. It’s immediately evident she has a passion to see people know how much God loves them and a desire to see that reality change their lives—because it has changed hers.
Jaime came to know the Lord at 21 while studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. God completely changed her life and it is her greatest desire to see people encounter Jesus in a real way.
From Boston, Jaime ended up in Seattle where she was a worship leader for several years and began writing her own worship songs. It was during that time in Seattle that Jaime signed with Centricity Records and went on to record 3 albums with them. She then moved to Nashville, TN which she still calls home, and continues to travel throughout the US and internationally leading people in worship, singing songs of hope, and sharing a message of finding your value and purpose in Christ.
Whether leading as a guest at churches, conferences, or on various tours her heart is still to see people encounter the presence of God. Several of Jaime’s singles are still being played on Christian radio stations & many churches are incorporating them in their Sunday morning worship set lists. “The Stand”—one of Jamgochian’s favorites to lead because of the theme of “surrender”—is one of her highest radio charting songs to date, falling in line with a discography that includes two full-length albums on Centricity Records. One of her most well-known original songs “Hear My Worship” spent 12 weeks at #1 on national Christian radio and she was the #1 Inspirational artist on the Billboard charts in 2008.

27 FEB 2023 · It’s encouraging when someone is able to recognize when their gifting is from above. We’re to use what God has given us to glorify God and not ourselves.
John 15:5 (ESV): I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
In this devotional podcast, David Funk, who is a member of the Bethel Collective and featured on the latest Bethel Music album Come Up Here, brings a great word that reflects on the importance of never creating an idol out of what you do.
This topic of worshipping the gift over worshipping the Father who gave us the gift isn’t a new issue, but in this age of secular humanism and the emphasis on self-fulfillment without God, it’s an important message we should never tire of hearing. We encourage you to pray Psalms 139 over yourself daily in a posture of repentance in order to ensure you are fully aligned with the Father and pointing the glory back to him.

20 FEB 2023 · On today's episode of The Walk our guest is Christian Hip Hop artist Lecrae. His music has been a blessing to millions of people and though he’s not considered a traditional “worship leader,” we felt it was important to add his voice to our podcast. Besides, who are we to define what “worship” is? We’ll be platforming a lot of different voices going forward and we’re excited to expand our focus on those out there that would consider themselves to be “worshipers.”
In this episode, Lecrae tells the story of his tumultuous journey to a deep level of faith in God. Growing up as a non-believer, once he became born again, other believers not representing God well caused his faith to falter. As a part of Lecrae’s story, he fell into disenfranchisement with God due to those around him and their negative influence.
But God wasn’t done with Lecrae and the story of how he came back to an even deeper level of faith is inspiring. There’s never a day when we don’t need to be constantly reminded of God’s love for us and this great devotional podcast is today’s reminder.

Who is Lecrae?
Before the Grammys, before releasing the #1 Album in the country (Anomaly, 2014), Lecrae dropped arguably the most seminal project in his catalog, Church Clothes. XXL said, “It’s impressive how he’s able to deliver a message without being preachy”, calling Church Clothes “a prime example of the reach of hip-hop music and culture.” The people spoke even louder downloading the project 100,000 times in 48 hours. People rocked with the mixtape because it was the first time someone planted their feet simultaneously in the streets and the Church without compromising.
10 years and two more entries later (CC2, and CC3), it becomes crystal clear that while Lecrae didn’t start Christian Hip-Hop (CHH), it’s his lane. In the 10 years since Church Clothes originally dropped no one has been able to keep a consistent focus on sincere Christianity and authentic Hip-Hop representation while enjoying the heights and enduring the lows like Crae.
On Church Clothes 4, the mission remains the same for rapper, CEO, New York Times Best-Selling author, investor, and activist: To represent faith and Hip-Hop with an Unashamed edge that challenges the Church to live up to its potential and encourages the Culture to reconcile with its Savior. In this entry, Lecrae gives his listeners an opportunity to see what it looks like to reconstruct a vision of faith despite the large-scale shift toward mistrust and disillusionment with Christianity in the wake of America’s racial tensions.

13 FEB 2023 · Unearthing the natural songs coming from a local body of Believers has become an exciting movement happening across the globe. Churches are tapping into their songwriters and artists and asking them to put poetry and prayers to music on behalf of their congregation. This exciting trend has birthed some of the largest worship platforms in the world.
In today’s episode our guest, Luke Hellebronth of Gas Street Music out of Birmingham, England, sheds light on a new way of looking at songs and their origins. His team’s “re-wilding” strategy could be a helpful model for songwriters and Christian musicians. Of course, the “strategy” aspect of this technique starts with making space for the Holy Spirit to guide the creative process.

6 FEB 2023 · “A delay isn’t a denial.”
“Pastor the people that God has put right in front of you and let God shepherd your dreams.”
So good! This episode is full of heart and wisdom thanks to Bethel Music artist and songwriter, Josh Baldwin. He’s passionate about creating space for people to be seen and heard by God and today’s story is a peek into his past, which shows the origin of that passion for people.
This great story also reinforces the need for the local church by uncovering just one aspect of its important role; to foster our creative artists. These communities of faith all over the world are the keepers of our creatives. Each church where we allow the Holy Spirit to move will grow up incredible artists, songwriters, painters, creative business people, writers, and more. It’s so important to recognize that your local congregation could be discipling the next generation of Josh Baldwin’s.

30 GEN 2023 · https://cmon.agency/ testimony about his struggles with weight produced one of the most vulnerable and powerful episodes of The Walk that we’ve ever released. We’re so proud to put this out in honor of all of those who struggle with the weight of sin. It’s time for us all to put that sin at the altar and move past it, one step at a time.
His scripture reference of Hebrews 12 is such a powerful reminder that, like Jesus, we all need to choose to run the race with endurance and through repentence, prayer, and the support of others, we really can lay down our weight and RUN! He endured the cross for us to be able to set aside our sin. Praise the Lord.
Hebrews 12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

23 GEN 2023 · We love nothing more than when our guests share stories of how they’ve grown in their faith even if those stories cover situations not widely talked about. The pressure on women to be married by a certain age is still a real thing in our churches and Charity Gayle’s wonderful testimony has all of us contemplating how we can grow in contentment.
Charity is known for a lot of amazing songs right now that include I Speak Jesus, Thank You Jesus For The Blood, and We Need A Miracle, but we’ve known Charity for almost a decade when she first hit the Song Discovery stage singing the songs that the Holy Spirit gave to her. We know her heart to be pure and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see how her voice has been amplified. She’s a person worth listening to because she truly lives out her faith.
The scripture she references is worth reading daily:
Luke 12:27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,[d] yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.
Lord, we too pray for all our listeners to breed contentment in their daily lives through a life of faith and trust in your Word. We believe your Word to be true. Amen

Who is Charity Gayle?
Charity houses a powerful voice that has a fresh yet reminiscent sound. She loves the Lord with fierce faith and was raised in a home full of worship and has been involved in ministry since she was a child. Growing up in Buffalo, NY, Charity was a part of a culture that thrives in the spirit of unity while celebrating diversity. Surrounded by worship and the Word, her love for praising Jesus through music grew as she did. One of her favorite things growing up was watching her mom direct choir at Thursday night choir practice and by the age of 16, she was directing multiple choirs herself. “I love harmonies in gospel music. I think about Heaven being full of every type of voice from every nation, finding their part and praising God at the top of their lungs together around the Throne.”
She spent two years in Nashville in 2014 and 2015 where she fell more in love with the art of writing songs for the church. Focusing on bridging the gap between worship and gospel music, she has authored songs like ‘Amen’ ‘Psalm 100 (Enter In), Cleansed and ‘New Name Written Down in Glory’. Her first record, ‘Lord, You are my Song, debuted at #1 in the Christian and gospel genre in January 2018. She recently released her sophomore album ‘Endless Praise’ in Sept. 2021, featuring the song ‘Thank You Jesus for the Blood’ also debuting at #1.
Most recently, Charity received a Dove Award for the song ‘Benediction (As You Go)’ on Selah’s record, “Firm Foundation”.
Charity lives and leads worship with her husband, Ryan Kennedy. They are cultivating a movement for 24-hour prayer and worship called GatherHouse, and are continuing to write and spread the gospel in the US and globally.
16 GEN 2023 · This episode of https://worshipleader.com/all-podcasts/ features worship artist, songwriter, and worship leader Patrick Mayberry and his wisdom could apply to anyone leading a team in any setting. He brings a great combination of practical advice for those on worship teams, as well as some great inspiration based on 2 Corinthians 10.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (ESV) For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ…
For those of us in leadership, having a grasp on the vision God has given you for your business, church, or ministry, and passing that vision along to your team can not only inspire, but it can motivate your team to pursue excellence in the practical applications of their giftings. The abilities that God has given us, when used for Kingdom purpose, destroys lies and attacks set against us in the spiritual relm that manifest in the physical realm.
Use your “weapons” today, whether that be leading worship, doing taxes, or fixing cars, for God’s glory and you’ll see strongholds destroyed, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Who is Patrick Mayberry?
Cookeville, Tennessee native Patrick Mayberry first fell in love with worship music at a Passion conference in 2006. Twelve years later the worship leader, singer, guitarist and songwriter signed his first publishing deal with Centricity Publishing (publishing home of Lauren Daigle, Jordan Feliz, Katy Nichole, etc.), and recorded and released his independent EP, Joy, followed by Live In My Living Room in 2019. Mayberry is currently in the studio recording songs for his next project to be released in 2023.
