13 DIC 2014 · Ashley O'Brien was born in Rochester, NY. She was the second of three children and a native of the 19th ward. She's now a wife and mother of three children, living in the Buffalo, NY area. She spends her free time developing her natural abilities and working with the Greater Western New York Paranormal Society.
As a child Ashley believed that she was visited by entities. She believes that her first encounter was at the age of six. Not knowing that these visits were unnatural, she continued to interact with them. As she aged and realized that she was having other-worldly experiences, she suppressed her abilities for fear of being ostracized from her community and family.
As an adult Ashley struggled to ignore the abilities that she felt were a part of her since childhood, fearing that she was ill. An encounter with a psychic medium confirmed to Ashley that she had a special gift. With support of her family and friends, Ashley embraced her talent. Looking for a space to hone her skill, Ashley discovered the GWNYPS. With the help of founders Dan Klas and Cameron Daboin, she was able to work with her ability and was provided a forum to help others looking for closure, or who were trying to make sense of unexplained activity.
Ashley is now an investigator with the Greater Western New York Paranormal Society and a regular on their web series Behind the Shadows.
