10 SET 2021 · After long absence I'm catching up with a few announcements,. In particular' Belturbet has been served with a notification NOT TO USE THE TAP WATER. I share a few listener and follower requests and congratulate Leona McGuire on her recent golfing success. Leona is a Ballyconnell native. I also mention the fact that tenants of State housing or Charity Organisation housing are being served with notifications that the must be vaccinated for the tenancy to continue. I’m in the category "Social Media" and many probably don’t even know that the name (Noreen Briddigkeit Quinn) is behind Belturbet Erne Radio, Belturbet Inside facebook page , In and around Ballyconnell facebook page, Belturbet Community Development Association facebook page, Slieve Rushen Radio Show, Woollen Socks and Gruel podcasts and Rahulton Indian Restaurant website and facebook page. It’s not me that’s important though – It’s YOU the people to whom I try and give a voice through my broadcasts.

2 FEB 2019 · The Two Five Ones are a jazz duo formed in 2016. Consisting of Dara MacGabhann vocals and Andy Hogg guitar & vocals, both of whom have enjoyed successful musical careers prior to their partnership. The Two Five One’s shows are packed with jazz and blues classics from the 1920s through to the 1950s and beyond and even feature some original compositions of the same genre. Their debut album ‘Sentimental Journey’ is a mix of Jazz and blues standards and original compositions, which also manages to incorporate a touch of Swing. The album focuses on highlighting the simplicity of just vocals and guitar.

4 DIC 2018 · Today I present my quick walkabout at Belturbet CHRISTMAS MARKET . This inaugural event was organized by PROJECT BELTURBET, a group which got together in response to what appears to be a downgrading of the Town (if there is such a thing). The weather was unusually clement and the Market was a great success in my opinion. I saw lots of happy faces and chatted with some of the Stallholders. It’s a just over 20 minute broadcast/podcast so grab yourself a cuppa, put the tired feet up and relax. Thank You

He’s already well established in the area and is hoping to take his musical career to the next level in the not too distant future. 14 OTT 2018 · Belturbet is very lucky to have a number of high profile Artists of various genre and I was fortunate to spot a new Town resident who had published 7 books to date. JEAN REINHARDT is a wonderful engaging Lady who is way too unassuming and modest. She talks here in the first part of the podcast about her deceased Dad who developed a Lung disease after a single exposure to ASBESTOS . This is a slow to develop condition and the recent “Palais event” may be long forgotten before someone develops a MESOTHELIOMA Then we hear a music track at pprox.13:15mins-16:30 STANDING ON A ROCK by the Cavan’s Got Talent 2012 winner CYRILL REILLY aka MONO from Killeshandra . The second and longest part from approx.16:30 centres on JEAN REINHARDT’s work as an Author and her experience since she started writing in 2013.

Recently, I was fortunate to have the (journo) recorder in my pocket when I bumped into RUAIRI DEVLIN the founder of the Irish MICRO BUSINESS AWARDS. @ https://www.facebook.com/microbusinessawards/ (Website coming soon) Jacqueline, our treasured Librarian, tells us what's on in the Library and you get to hear PAUL McCANN belt out his "Keep the Devil Within" song. Paul, a Belturbet man and multi talented musician, is now working his way into mainstream media. There was a big write up about him in the "Celt" and he's getting good reviews for his new Album on social media. I've also heard him on Northern Sound. I'm proud to say I had him on my show almost 2 years ago. There's also an invitation to an ALPHA COURSE which will be starting in NEWTOWNGORE next week and some other snippets.
