For this episode, host Azariah Mai sits down with saxophonist, multireedist, and composer Colin Stetson for our very own Halloween special. We’ll be getting spooky with it as we discuss his work on the soundtrack of the renowned 2018 horror film ‘Hereditary’ and the 2022 release of Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Netflix sequel. Colin has worked with the likes of Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and Bell Orchestre. We’ll also listen to the track ‘All Aboard’ from the upcoming film ‘The Menu’ hitting cinemas this November 18th, the soundtrack of which has been produced by stetson himself.

3 AGO 2021 · On this episode of the Ninja Tune Podcast, we teamed up with Mind to organise a panel discussing mental health in the electronic music industry. The panel was hosted by Emma Mamo, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at the mental health charity, Mind. Mind have been working in partnership with Ninja Tune, Paradigm, POLY and Percolate to raise awareness of mental health across the electronic music industry and in the podcast, Emma was joined by Simon Denby (Percolate), ELKKA (Technicolour / femme culture), Peach (NTS) and Yaya Bey (Big Dada). They explored issues like stigma, how to take care of your mental health while working in the industry and what needs to change across the industry to make it more supportive of people’s mental health.
Mind in partnership with Ninja Tune, Paradigm, POLY and Percolate have developed some resources for people working in the electronic music industry so they can take care of their own mental health and look out for others

22 FEB 2021 · In this episode of the Ninja Tune Podcast, Luke Mark and Isaac Wood from the band Black Country New Road chat with Britt Walford, the drummer and founder of the influential band Slint. 4 FEB 2021 · In this episode of the Ninja Tune Podcast, Matt Black, Ninja Tune founder and 1/2 of Coldcut talks with Benny Wenda, the West Papuan independence leader. Coldcut — who are friends of the Wenda family and long term supporters of the Free West Papua campaign—invited Benny Wenda to contribute to the Keleketla! record that was released last year. The resulting track, ‘Papua Merdeka’, centres around a heartfelt political invocation led by Wenda. It’s a call for freedom for the nation of West Papua from Indonesia, from which Wenda fled in 2004 after being persecuted by the Indonesian military.
