What happens when you mix a hitman with the scrupulous family dynamics of an overbearing and controlling grandma? It results in: The Adelson Obsession. Murder For Hire: Dan was murdered in Tallahassee, Florida, in July of 2014. Dan was an FSU law professor and was the loving father of two boys with Wendy Adelson (his ex-wife). Wendy's mother is Donna Adelson, her father is Harvey Adelson, her brother is Charlie Adelson, and her older brother is Rob Adelson. (We will learn that Rob, the oldest son, was estranged from his family.)  The state learned that two suspects carried out the hit - Luis Rivera and shooter Sigfredo Garcia. Why in the world would 2 random guys from South Florida drive up 8 hours to Tallahassee to kill a man in cold blood? What was the motive?

The Investigators uncovered clues that the murder was connected to Dan Markel's "nasty" divorce, and they suspected that one or more people in his ex-wife's family allegedly & possibly ordered the hit! What could have been the motive? Did it have anything to do with the Judge in the divorce not letting the kids be uprooted & move? ( Who wanted the kids to move from Tallahassee down to South Florida?) Note: (Speculative & allegedly: Was there a discussion of a plan by Wendy's mother, "Donna", to offer Dan Markel $1 million dollars~ to allow the children to relocate near their home in South Florida? )  



Next, the FBI, together with the Tallahassee Police Department, conducted an operation—a "Bump"—to get the "roaches" to talk. An undercover cop walked up to Donna Adelson (the mom of Wendy) and told her that they want to be taken care of the way Katie is being taken care of. He handed her a note, which she put in her purse calmly. After the State gathered enough information, they then charged Charles Adelson who was ultimately convicted. So far, 3 other people were convicted: the shooter, Sigfredo Garcia, a friend of Sigfredo, Luis Rivera, and Katherine Magbanua (Sigfredo was her baby daddy).
Here, we will listen to the interrogation tapes, jail calls & tapes of those who were involved and may have allegedly been involved.  Donna is currently on trial. 
Jeffrey Lacasse's (an ex-boyfriend of Wendy Adelson) interrogation is very informative and enlightening. What he reveals about the family is mind-blowing.
