Few plays serve as a more poignant conclusion to a playwrights career than Shakespeares The Tempest. This enchanting tale follows the aging sorcerer and rightful Duke of Milan, Prospero, as he navigates life on a remote island filled with magic and haunting melodies, alongside the resentful slave Caliban. When an unexpected opportunity arises to reclaim his tarnished reputation, Prospero conjures a powerful storm, stranding a ship carrying his treacherous brother and the King of Naples—both responsible for his exile from Milan twelve years prior. With the aid of the ethereal spirit Ariel, Prospero embarks on a quest to right the wrongs of the past, ultimately preparing to relinquish his magic forever. Featuring some of Shakespeares most stirring speeches and a masterful command of the Neoclassical unities of time, place, and action, The Tempest stands as a formidable and moving farewell to both the Bard and his timeless legacy. Join our talented cast—Craig Franklin, Tomas Peter, Brad Hamlet Filippone, and Sonia—as they deliver an unforgettable performance of Shakespeares final masterpiece. Think you know Shakespeare?
